Indian Movies.

Ok s the British tele has started showing Indians movies, no big deal because the Britsih haev always had bad taste, but what truly disgusted me when they showed this movie with Aamir Khan in it, not only was it a bad movie but it was also anti-Pakistan where they clearly portrayed Paksitanis as terrorists, My question is that is it ok for a third country to broadcast such movies? do they have no standards, can they be sued over it?
The movie showed teh Pak army as paying rebels in the country being provided by Pak army to kill their own… and we all know that mud-slinging has always been a part of the Indian culture and paying money to terrorist we also know where that comes from.
anyway It is very in-appropriate that the Britishers are taking part in such an organized anti-pak propaganda capmpaign. Do they not have a standards agency telling them that they cannot derogate members of another community… and if there is a lwayer here my question is can channel four be sued over it?

Re: Indian Movies.

which movie is that? I saw the cricket movie but thought it was childish

Re: Indian Movies.

I think it is Sarforosh and all things said and done that was a very good movie!!!

Re: Indian Movies.

I think Lagaan was a very good movie. One of the best that ever came out of india. Now is it really Sarfarosh that Mywish is talking about?

Re: Indian Movies.

Yes I think It was sarfarosh, It was shown last week, but i'll check again.

Re: Indian Movies.

company was a complete movie - must watch

Re: Indian Movies.

Dhand rakh bhai..

There are many movies where they showpeople from other country as terrorist. Hollywood and British movies are full of stories of Russian spys and sabotage by KGB.Watch James Bond movies.

They make what sells at that time. If you think you are potrayed bad you can also make a movie and show Indians as Terrorist. Its other thing that you will have to pay people to watch it.

You cant sue… !!! Sorry too bad …

Re: Indian Movies.

you mean that thses lousy indian movies are being shown for teh BRITISH AUDIENCE?? I THINK that Itv would have to pay the british audience to watch these lousy indian movies, no wonder why the ratings are already going down.

Re: Indian Movies.

Dont worry MyWish, I dont really know any real brits watching and discussing such bollywood movies on Chanel 4. all are broadcasted after midnight. the only people tend to stay tuned to chanel are indian or Pakistanis even brit Pakistanis and brit Indians dont watch it with much of interest.

I also agree with you broadcasting such movies when both communities living in the same country and also very sensitive about their ethinicity. some one mentioned KGB and bond movies etc, scenario is different here film is shown on in a country where both communities are in nearly equal numbers and forms strong groups of the community and brit channels should think about it.

recent problems at a theatre in Birmingham by Sikh due some scenes, and they had to shut down the play.

Re: Indian Movies.

i agree.
