I recently heard that India is thinking of scrapping their Men’s hockey team?
If they do this, could their ladies team be allowed to compete in Men’s international tournaments? I would welcome this development, especially if their women’s team, unlike their men, can compete against the likes of Pakistan, Germany, Netherlands, Great Britain, Argentina, Malaysia Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Russia etc.
Having read Ehsan bhai's thread about Pakistan hockey, I have a suggestion for the Indian hockey federation. Rather than India scrapping it's men's hocket team, maybe they can get some of the eves to coach them.
I have the same suggestion for them as well Get some Indian Eves to coach Paki Hockey team so that they dont have to celebrate any more BLACK DAYS

ISLAMABAD: Unable to come to terms with the shocking 1-7 defeat to New Zealand in the men’s hockey event of the Commonwealth Games, former players and experts called for wholesale changes in the Pakistan national team on Sunday.
Former stalwarts descri-bed it as a “black day in Paki-stan hockey” and blamed the Pakistan Hockey Federation for packing the team with “old and worn-out players.”
“It is not only unbelievable, but shameful too,” said former captain Rasheedul Hassan. “Had Pakistan lost to Australia, it was understandable, but a 7-1 thumping by New Zealand is a disgrace. It is time that the PHF chiefs should quit. It is a black day for Pakistan hockey,” Hassan was quoted in The Dawn newspaper. “They should have gone for youth rather than
banking on the likes of Kamran Ashraf and Ahmad Alam.”
Former Olympian Hanif Khan also took a swipe at the PHF. “It is disgusting, disgraceful, a catastrophy. It all happened because of these old hats who must be axed and replaced with youth.”

Munnay, You qualified for 2002 Commonwealth games, but in 1998 games Your Team didn’t qualify and our team did. Commonwealth games format is such that they can have only one team from Asia and this time it was Pakistan (And last time it was India).

Atelast we got a position worth mentioning, have a look at your team LOL 10th or 11th, LOL and that too from a coach who was saying this team was unbeatable...
Grow up Asif and stop posting irrelevant stuff and making personal attacks. If you cant discuss anything rationally then dont post. To take one match randomly and post here does not make any sense. Others can post also where your team lost. So make sure you post relevant stuff otherwise it will be deleted.

As an Indian you are only waiting for a Pakistani Individual or Team to lose just because every Pakistani also wants every Indian Individual or Team to lose.
Can we not grow up and instead of using derogatory terms like Paki and Indi etc. etc. carry out a friendly debate.

May be we should grow up and start complimenting each others' Country of Domicile.
Why not start a Thread where the Pakistanis can describe the good things in India and the Indians can describe the good things in Pakistan?
You could also start a thread descibing the achievements of each country in the Manufacturing, Transport, Educational etc. Fields rather than point out how many non-Muslims have been killed by Muslims in Pakistan and How many non-Hindus have been killed by Hindus in India.
Life is too short to keep hating others and start supporting each other.

Indeed. What fantastic rotis they make too. Nothing beats a good roti with some good meat dishes, allowing the fast bowlers to perform (on the cricket pitch that is).

Yes, same rotis make their batsman so fat that they convert Ones to zeros and 2s/3s to ones while batting.

Asif_K - No Sir, you do not know who I am.
For the Record I am an Indian Hindu, but, that does not mean that I should automatically hate all Muslims - especially the Pakistanis.
Life is too short and without preaching all I expect is decent conversation without demeaning the other party.
It makes me wonder that most of our Pakistani friends consider that Indian Hindus hate Muslims and Indian Muslims Hate Hindus to the extent that whenever an Indian Team plays Pakistan or any other Country then the Indian Muslims will automatically cheer the Non-Indian Team. IMHO nothing could be further from the truth.

May be we Indians - both Hindus and Muslims for my surname of Surti could be Hindu, Muslim or Parsee - on this forum can create a little bit of understnading between the two people, an act which our leaders seem to be uncapable of, by being at least polite and decent in our posts. If the Pakistanis on this Forum keep on abusing India and the Indians do not retaliate then I am sure the Pakistanis will reach the conclusion that all their abuse is of no value. Q.E.D.
Let not our leaders succeed in creating hatred between the two people simply for the continued benefit of our Leaders - both Indian and Pakistani.
You will appreciate that in Wars between our two Nations only the likes of you and me, and similar Pakistanis, will die - NOT THE LEADERS.
