Indian Electionz n Pakistan

You said it perfectly. :k:

I am sure suggesting that Indian culture is inferior is quite offensive to some people. These kind of people deserve nothing more than they have been getting. Enjoy the camel ass kissing. !! :k:

Sounds literally like a ritual of your culture (rajasthan perhaps?) considering the status the hindu religion gives to animals. By the way, nobody is kissing anyones ass, the arabs (who you claim we are kissing the ass of) were idol worshippers just like you before islams guidance. I guess that makes everyone an ass kisser before they are muslim does it?

No there is no ass kissing in rajasthan. the rajputs actually kick camel ass…Dheet janwar hotay hain yeh camels.

Are you saying arabs were doing quadratic equations before islams guidance in arabia? that is news. I always heard that they were having trouble counting their toes. :bummer:

Now now Mats, I’m sure there must be a hindu from some sect out there who might find what you say offensive about kicking camels

I don’t know about arabs doing quadratics, but they were idol worshipper just like you. To suggest we follow them is illogical. Actually most of arabia as we know it today was not “arabic” speaking until after islam (places like Egypt and Morocco). We follow islam wherever geographically it would have originated from. Just like the chinese muslim or the somali muslim. Don’t be so obsessed about this whole arab thing. We may be obsessed with islam, but certainly not arabs (if we are, its because of our islamic commonality). Muhammad S.A.W. himself never gave any special recognition to arabs. I got no problem with india/pak dosti.
Its islamic to be neighbourly

Salam to all!,

Strongman, Islo, etc.: guys leave Matsui alone to disintegrate in his own frustration. He is distracting everyone from the real issue of this thread: ie whichever party wins the Hindi elections has to be received with a very cautious attitude in Pakestan.

All that I have been saying is that PAKESTAN is better off without Hind: economically, politically, etc. - he wanted this to turn in to a debate about cultures (in fact most Hindi people I have met try to twist and turn arguments and boil things down to their culture!): you can start a conversation about ice-creams and some hindi will conclude that the concept of freezing originated in Hind! .

I am not against Hind - I am for Pakestan but Matsui has been trying to turn this into a cultural debate. If you read the strings carefully, all I said was that Pakestan needs to be cautious and that got him firing on all cylinders and now the thread has degenerated to cruelty to animals by our co-member calling them :

Guys - he has an agenda - and you are responding to him and then he can try to make his twisted point that people have a problem against a particular culture (whereas our discussions are pitched at a much higher level of intellect!). Just ignore him.

Let him think that everyone is jealous of Hindi culture and is trying to undermine it - we should focus on how public awareness can be increased in your land (Pakestan) so that the average person can try to make an informed decision. Ultimately, its the people that’ll decide - you can’t force 145 million to do this or that - but our role is to try to provide a platform of knowledge which can be utilized by Pakestan people to make the right choices.

Once again to refresh the main issue which got clouded by the camel-bashing by our Indian member! :rotfl: :

(1) Congress wins: watch out - it was when Congress was dominant in secular Indian politics that 3 wars were inflicted on Pakestan.

(2) BJP wins: well even the illeterate Pakestani knows about the BJP: they are working on legislature that will ban cow slaughter throughout Hind: I mean what brand of secularism takes away the right of Christians and Muslims to enjoy a medium-rare steak!!??? and we all know where they stand on changing names of Hindi cities from Muslim or secular to Hindu (eg Bombay became Mumbai = which was named after the popular diety in Maharashtra “Mumba devi”, and I believe other cities as well but MOllywood comes to mind immediately!).
So let’s increase our knowledge with FACTS and try to learn from eachother and try to teach eachother.

These distracting shenanigans are best ignored because in the end we are coming down to his level!.

Finally, I am overwhelmed with the support I have got from all of you! - Shoukran Jazeelan ! (thanks!) : so let’s try to caliebrate ourselves to the high level that the umma needs. There’ll always be distractions. In fact I have been offered honorary Pakestan citizenship! : am flattered! : so that’s Bahrain, Qatar and Pakestan whose citizens felt this way!!!
But thanks - am quite happy with my current citizenship.

Brothers I am NOT anti-Pakestan culture or anything like that (like indians have been trying to desparately prove) - let me assure you that I sincerely believe that one root cause of problems in Pakestan is an identity crisis - don’t get me wrong - Islamic identity remains intact no matter you wear shalwar kameez, kandooras, dish-dashes, dhotis, etc. but don’t you think that there are things happening in Pakestan that go against Islam and that have a cultural origin?

I mean how can a Muslim man accept dwory - and yet its done in Pakestan! - It’s not that people are against Islam (Islamic identity is intact) but most probably DO NOT KNOW what Islam says on this matter. Similarly, if relentless and blind culture-sharing takes place, there maybe other things that will happen (which are alright in a culture - but which are disallowed by Islam).

So please don’t think that I am here to expand the sphere of Arabian influence!!! I love Pakestanis the way they are MINUS the ANTI-ISLAMIC practices (I mean Pakestan was founded on Islam and not culture, unless the hundreds of books I skimmed through in Pakestan written by Pakestanis had big typos in them!).
Speak Urdu, eat Kulfi, eat laddos, wear shalwar kammez! but stop dwories, honour killings, corruption, feudal society, oppressing the poor, treating Baloch like slaves (there are many Baluch who are now naturalized Gulf country citizens - we have many in UAE and Oman - they have Al Baluchi in their surnames - so some told me that they have been hurt by Pakestanis and Iranians because you have Pakestan balouch and Iranii baloch) So that’s all I am saying.

And by the way, look it up - the word algebra comes from the Arabic root - “Al Jabr” - which roughly translated means “winding pathways”.
Here is webster’s dictionary on algebra:
Webster’s 1913 Dictionary

“Definition: \Al"ge*bra, n. [LL. algebra, fr. Ar. al-jebr reduction
of parts to a whole, or fractions to whole numbers, fr.
jabara to bind together, consolidate; al-jebr
w’almuq[=a]balah reduction and comparison (by equations):”

fr. = from; Ar.=Arabic ; al-jebr …

Anyway, I think we have succeeded in getting our message across - Seema a BIG THANKS for starting this topic. I think we all have learnt a lot about many different facets in these posts.

That was uncalled for.

The number zero was invented in India, from which the Arabs took that idea.

What is your basic point ET, that Pakistan should not blindly follow India's culture. That is a good point. No country should follow other countries culture blindly. It is good to take the best of each countries culture for that enhances your own. India too has been caught in the bind and has adopted the western culture to a large extent. I hope we are able to see what are the pitfalls of that culture and filter out the dirt from it.

Thank You very much for this enlightened discussion. We really did learn a lot. Gupistan would be so much better with such intellectual discussions. :jazak:
