Indian Elections 2009

Re: Indian Elections 2009

:hmmm: So as per you, if someone is just getting to form a govt its okay to persecute minorities but if one has been in power for some time it is not okay ??

Pls do some research - the first arrest for the 1984 riots came in 1997, and that too after a lot of pressure from Sikhs within and outside the Congress. Compare that to Gujarat where numerous arrests have been made since 2002.

Atleast we seem to agree on one thing - that Modi is a good administrator. I dont think you will be able to appreciate good governance till you actually experience it

Pls name some BJP guys who were in the Congress in 1984 ?? FYI, The BJP got only 2 seats in 1984 since they were seen as sympathetic to Sikhs while the Congress got 401.

Within 15 days of coming to power in Delhi, the BJP CM Madan Lal Khurana constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Justice Narula to probe the Sikh riots. As per the recommendations of the committee, the Dlhi govt. recommended to the Congress led Central govt. that cases be lodged against all three prime accused and they be punished forthright.

Another false propaganda about Modi - pls tell me about a speech where he is “threatening” minorities.

The results of the election will be out very soon. Lets wait to see how BJP fares in Gujarat

Re: Indian Elections 2009

There is enough demand for that in Pakistan. You will need to wait a long time ;)

Re: Indian Elections 2009

This topic has gone tangent.

Anyhow, I voted today.

I feel proud of my country, which inspite of the troubles, is a shining example in the region and asia. Inspite of numerous countries in this continent, how many countries can claim a great democratic tradition like what we are seeing now.

Re: Indian Elections 2009

Nah, Pakistanis smell wonderful, SHOWERS are an amazing thing buddy!

You obviously have never had the opportunity to stand on the Pakistani side of Waga during high westerly winds... The combined odor of 1 BILLION Indians is enough to cry WMDs! :p

Re: Indian Elections 2009

Just having some fun with your Indian friend there. Continue please!

Re: Indian Elections 2009

If just the BO from the Indian side is enough to make Pakistanis nervous, how do you think you will handle the Indian Army ? :p

Now, if you are done with your crass brand of humor I would like to go back & discuss the topic on hand.

Re: Indian Elections 2009

I voted and feel proud about it anyway

Propaganda at its best. If you care to know, the Gujjar leader who lead the riots has now joined the BJP and definitely there was a Congress conspiracy to discredit the good work done by the BJP…

Good for you

Please read his book and then post the links.

I am sure you can do better than this :p

LOL... You are just precious!

Of all the Indians on this forum, your the most fun to annoy:)

As an Indian, one grows used to the annoyance from across our western borders ;)

When are the election results?

Any predictions on who would win? on the new government or Prime Minister?

Re: Indian Elections 2009

I believe counting starts on May 15th.

The TV analysts seem to think that the UPA would be back, albeit with fewer seats which means they would be more susceptible to blackmail from the coalition partners.

counting on may 16th

Re: Indian Elections 2009

^ Aren't you from AP ? Any impact of Chiranjeevi's PRP ?

Re: Indian Elections 2009

^^
No I am from Karnataka. Impact of Ch’s party in Karnataka is Zero

I'm from A.P, Predictions say there is no impact of PRP, but the voting % is too high, nobody can predict anything, in my constituency 83% voted, its strong hold of Congress

It will be a hung with Congress big party 120-130 and TDP 80-90 and PRP 30-50

so PRP will be the King Maker,

Congress + MIM( MMajilis Itehadul Muslimeen will get 7 seats atleast in Hyderabad city ) 137 they need 147 to form govt, they may buy some ind or split PRP or TRS

everything is decided on 16th, but this time elections are not that interesting as of before

chiranjeevi has impact on Bellary, Gulbarga, Bidar, Raipur , Mulbagal all areas bordering karnataka and AP, even Orissa Borders are influenced, but they are not contesting there this time
