You know the situations were different. There was a power vacuum at the center. Rajiv was getting to form a govt. Its very different situation to what Modi was doing. He had a favorable central govt., he never bothered to swiftly catch the culprits for Godhra and thereby flaming the anger even more. I dont have to elaborate the evidence against Modi. Besides there is nothing in Modis actions which says that he has any favourable opinion about Muslims. Most of the right wing leaders across the world are quite good administrators, but I would not like to stay at those places where my individual freedom is comprised by some nut crack.

So as per you, if someone is just getting to form a govt its okay to persecute minorities but if one has been in power for some time it is not okay ??

Pls do some research - the first arrest for the 1984 riots came in 1997, and that too after a lot of pressure from Sikhs within and outside the Congress. Compare that to Gujarat where numerous arrests have been made since 2002.

Atleast we seem to agree on one thing - that Modi is a good administrator. I dont think you will be able to appreciate good governance till you actually experience it

Not true. Congress won handsomely even when Akalis and BJP were fighting together. You should go and read on a bit and you would know that many of the BJP guys were congress wallahs during the sikh riots of 1984. BJP was power in the center for 5 years with Akali support, why didnt they do something with Tytler and Sajjan. The matter is in the court and if there is evidence then they will be prosecuted.

Pls name some BJP guys who were in the Congress in 1984 ?? FYI, The BJP got only 2 seats in 1984 since they were seen as sympathetic to Sikhs while the Congress got 401.

Within 15 days of coming to power in Delhi, the BJP CM Madan Lal Khurana constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Justice Narula to probe the Sikh riots. As per the recommendations of the committee, the Dlhi govt. recommended to the Congress led Central govt. that cases be lodged against all three prime accused and they be punished forthright.

Unlike Modi, Tytler or Sajjan is not seen giving speeches threatening the minorities.

Another false propaganda about Modi - pls tell me about a speech where he is “threatening” minorities.

That is why Congress won 13 seats from GUjarat in the LS. What India wants is definitely not Modi and its brand of divisive politics.

The results of the election will be out very soon. Lets wait to see how BJP fares in Gujarat
