Go read your history. Bharat existed 5000 yrs ago in the times of the Mahabharat. It didn't have the same outline as it does today, that's all.

Mhabharata was written some 2 millennium ago. By this logic if we start calling Pakistan from now on Meluha, then it will become a 5000 years old country overnight.

^ finally you got it. Not just the name, once you do that, you don't even have to deny your own culture and ancestry anymore. You proudly refer back to your centuries old traditions as your own. The arabs, instead of seeming like rich uncles to touch will seem like upstarts. You will have established your true identity. Go for it.

I am not denying at all our old civilizations, from where did you get this idea? I am very pround that the civilizaitons like Indus and Gandhara once flourished in the region what is now Pakistan.

So you think the region that comprises of Pakistan now had no dishes of its own? no taste of its own? :hehe: get real, every region has its own taste, don’t paint it with national colors.

Same is true for all countries foods. For example "Indian cuisine" can be broken into many many areas. That "Masala Dosa" is a south Indian item (I think), does not necessarily mean that it was all over India all the time (an all India item).

Pakistan's culture is a mixture of all these cultures, It is what I was trying to get across. My post was aimed towards those people who think that Pakistan doesn't have its own unique culture.

I ment to say local pakistani culture(balochi, panjabi, pashto) strange dishes like dosa and strange places like banglore are not included.

And you think Indian households don’t prepare these dishes or you think Indian restaurants( in India) don’t serve these?

I mean these dishes are really popular in India too.. I don’t know about the friggin origin and I don’t care either.. but if u think only pakistan knows and relishes this yummy stuff.. you are wrong.

And NO… hindus don’t stay away from meat( only a few do). I have so many hindu friends.. and they used to love non-veg. My marathi friend’s mom used to make a mean Qeema( with patatoe ). :yummy:
