A few members of the Indian cricket team including skipper M S Dhoni watched Shah Rukh Khan starrer Om Shanti Om at a multiplex in Chandigarh on Friday while Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar visited an orphanage.
While a few players of the Indian team including Virender Sehwag left the city today to be with their family on Diwali eve, others like Dhoni, Robin Utthapa and Irfan Pathan went to a multiplex in the afternoon to watch the movie.
Senior players like Sachin Tendulkar, his wife Anjali, son Arjun and daughter Sara along with Sourav Ganguly, his wife and daughter also accompanied Dhoni and company.

how 'bout shobi visiting an orphanage in Pakistan; we've got some there too.
I know Akthar is involve in social work activities in Pakistan. So why it is bad if he is doing something in India? I know people will say that it is a publicity stunt. Even if it is, if something good comes out of it, then no one should have any problem. Right?

i personally would let the indian celebrities worry about orphanages in india; pak players should take care of yateem bachay in their own country.

He is just trying to copy Imran Khan (social activities), Steve Waugh (social activities in India)

Even if he achieves half of what Imran did, it would be great… but everybody shouldn’t be setting up hospitals, there are other great things like orphanages etc.

so that means you also wont appreciate if someone from outside (for eg cricketers from other countires) will come to Pakistan to help the poor :)
It doesn't matter to me what other people do in terms of charity w/i Pakistan; all i know is given our history w/ indians, our players should only be focused on cricket. Charity, although a noble gesture, should be aimed at the Pakistani public by our players.
