hey guys, over the year indians have been accused of copying our songs. Seems like the number of copy songs are vast. I thought we could list all pak songs that were copied and their indian versions.
DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT TO BAD MOUTH INDIA. WE OURSELVES COPY A LOT OF THEIR SONGS. INFACT I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH INDIANS COPYING OUR SONGS. I TAKE IT AS A COMPLIMENT THAT THEY LIKE OUR SONGS SO MUCH THAT THEY WANT TO CREATE A INDIAN VERSION. SO LET’S NOT BAD MOUTH INDIA IN THIS THREAD AS WE ARE GUILTY OF THE SAME CRIME.
list them, im curious. also i think with the movie paap, the artists were asked before the songs were taken. and um..that hadiqa kiani song boohey barian, i think she also gave her consent for the song to be released in that movie, forgot its name. i don't see that as copying, but it does give pakistani artists a broader market for their music, and gives them much respect in india. but do list, im just curious.
There are lots of old Punjabi songs that were 'lifted'.. and yes it goes both ways.. but let's keep this thread for the Pakistani songs that were an 'inspiration' for the Bollywood versions..
How about "Chalay to cut hee jayay kaa safar.. ahista.. ahista.." .. that became something sung by Kumar Sanu.
abrar ul haqs song, with the english lyrics "sanu tere naal" was in a indian movie, cant remember the name, it was word for word, damn i cant remeber the movie name, it had that guy from Tum Bin, in it , the one that dies in Tum Bin,wat is the name of that movie, i may have to get bak to you on that one.
Junaid’s Sanwali Salooni si mehbooba
they made such a stupid song of it..it went like “teri neeli neeli aankhein”. I didn’t mind any other copied songs as much but this was heart breaker
how about "allahu" by NFAK. they made it into " I love you." that was the only one that really pissed me off. Dont turn a god's song into a romantic number.
Dusron ke gane churana yeh to hamaari purani aadat hain. Does anyone know that the old blockbuster song from Sangam "Yeh mera prem patra padhake" was a stolen tune?
Anyway I thought you guys didn't watch Indian movies.
