Pakistani govt must ask India to extradite this terrorist & all those responsible for attack on train that killed many innocent people who were visiting India & including many Indian citizens. Back then India was blaming Pakistan for this attack.
NEW DELHI: Indian Army Lieutenant Colonel PS Purohit procured the explosives used in the 2007 Samjhota Express train bombing and 2008 Malegaon blast, Indian police told a court in Nashik city on Saturday.
Maharashtra police said the colonel had obtained 60 kilogrammes of the explosive from Jammu and Kashmir in 2006 according to a witness in the Malegaon blast case. The court remanded the colonel in police custody until November 18.
Meanwhile, Hindu ascetic Sadhvi Pragya Singh and Lt Col Purohit tested negative in narco tests on direct involvement in the Samjhota Express bombing, but gave important clues about their clandestine network. The Mumbai Police ATS is now tracing two followers of Sadhvi and an Indore-based Hindu Jagran Manch that they believe are the ‘missing link’ in the Samjhota Express bombing, said a senior security official who is part of the investigations.
The suitcases that were used to blow up three carriages of Samjhota Express were traced to Indore, which has emerged as a hub of clandestine activities of Hindu militant groups.
Indian army officer linked to Samjhauta explosions
NEW DELHI, Nov 15: The Indian army officer arrested in connection with a terrorist attack in Malegaon has been linked to the Samjhauta Express blasts.
Prosecutor for the Anti-Terror Squad, Ajay Misar, submitted in a local court in Nashik on Saturday that Lt-Col S.P. Purohit was suspected to have procured 60kg of RDX from occupied Kashmir in 2006, a part of which was used in the Malegaon blast and the other in the Samjhauta Express bombing which killed 68 people, mostly Pakistanis, in early 2006.
The submission in the court has given a new dimension to the probe being conducted against Purohit for his involvement in Malegaon town explosion in which eight people died.
Purohit was remanded in police custody till Nov 18 for detailed questioning when he was produced before a court in Nashik.
The serving army officer was also subjected to brain-mapping and narco-analysis tests, media reports said.
During investigations it had been revealed that in 2006 Purohit had claimed that he had obtained 60kg of RDX from occupied Jammu and Kashmir, said the prosecutor.
Misar said that Purohit gave a portion of the RDX to one Bhagwan who was suspected of using it in the Samjhauta Express twin blasts.—APP
Re: Indian colonel admits bombing Samjhota Express
This brings into question all the other bombings in India. Not to mention the bombings in Pakistan today. This is not uncommon, by the way, Israelis have used this tactic as well to further oppress Palestinian civilians.
I believe India is most definitely involved in the destabilization of Pakistan.
Re: Indian colonel admits bombing Samjhota Express
atleast indian army gave permission to interrogate its officer....do any one here still remember DR.SHAZIA and how the then army general defended his men...the poor lady had to leave pak to save her life...
when u point a finger at others remember four are pointed towards you....
Re: Indian colonel admits bombing Samjhota Express
Let us pause for a minute and understand what happened. In any group of people there are rotten apples and India is doing its best to root them out. It is not as if the President of the country has been caught with his pants down. The president of your country claimed that there were only freedome fighters in Kargil and then confronted with evidence agreed that there were army regulars.
An unstable Pakistan is not in India's interests. A weak Pakistan is in India's interests. With the current spate of bombings and civil war ,there is every chance that another Army man decides to stage a coup. This is a scenario that the Indians dread. An idiot might decided to use the nuclear weapons without thinking about the ramifications. Please do not give credit where it is not due. India has its own problems to take care.

After raping & murdering 100s of 1000s of people in Kashmir & all over India by Indian army you're hardly in position to bring up something like this.
In any case, we're talking about Indian army's directed involvement in international terrorism & where citizens of other nation were killed by your terrorist army. And, that brings up another question, all these years India has been blaming Pakistan for terrorists attack (parliament attack?) & how do we know that it was not India doing itself?

Stop defending the indefensible. Mas murders are not uncommon for Indian fascists & in past more then once your own govt has been involved in it. This is just another example of Indian terrorism where Indian govt & army are involved. So, next time when you blame anyone else for it, just remember this, your govt & army maybe behind it.
Re: Indian colonel admits bombing Samjhota Express
Pakistan should do a better job getting this story out in the western media. Just compose a formal letter where they can put references to where India accused Pakistan of this bombing right after it happened, and then highlight how it turns out it was someone in their own armed forces, and send them a copy of the court order/confession.

just relax...the accused is not yet declared guilty by a court of law
