Indian Baby with 2 faces..

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

yes from what i heard .. she is being worshipped as a devi or somin..

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

i know how the scientists feel :halo:

at the same time why it might be her, the mother hardly looks older than 15 or 16 herself. might have contributed a bit to this case =/

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

:( I agree with Muniya.

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

aww poor girl i bet when she grows up she will want to do things that she cant

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

She WILL have a VERY tough life ahead of her. whether worshipped as a Devi(and since when any goddess had two faces??), or not, she will be going through a hard time. i think she would be displayed like some divine personality, and the illiterates would throng to pray to her, or she would be kept inside a locked room, away from others. either way, itz bad. she wouldnt be having an enjoyabe social life. and you guys may call me a monster, but these kinda babies should be given a "mercy death" when born, itz would be more bebficial for the baby and itz parents.

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

pallav, if you follow that line of thinking then you have to answer this: WHO decides what children/people should live and which ones should be killed out of mercy? And where do you draw the lines? A baby with one arm. Live or die? A baby with thalessemia (which requires blood transfusions on a regular basis) - live or die? A diabetic? I could go on and on and on here. But I think you can get the point. OUR job is not to be judge, jury and executioner. OUR job is to love and cherish ANY offspring that we have been blessed with. We are ALL Gods creatures.

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

Wow.. fascinating, really. This really is rare.. but I do hope she is able to have a good and peaceful life, just as any other kid born would. And she is soo cute, bless.

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

I concur.

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

I agree to Munniya but I am sure she has only one brain that is controlling the whole body! In that case she has chances to survive! ... she is cute, but when I am looking at her face it is making my eyes and brain dizzy, I can't concentrate looking at her... its just me!

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

I disagree with you. There are alot of people on the face of this earth who are born with something, or develop it later on. Does that mean we need to start killing them? That is not the solution for such situations.

Instead, we should educate our people and people around the world so better solutions can be found for such conditions. I would also disagree with the parents of this baby (if they are not letting doctors come near the baby) because there is nothing wrong with having the baby checked out to see whether there are/can be any complications for the baby in the near future.

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

Thats the thing here....she is a happy newborn infant. Nothing wrong with her other than some "spare parts". I dont know that I disagree with the parents to have all the drooling scientists leave her alone! And I also disagree with the whole mercy killing thing....I mean, she is perfectly capable of living a full and happy life. No one has the right to take that away from her. I'm sure she will face certain difficulties thru her life (who doesnt?) but I';m also JUST as sure that given the choice, she would prefer life over a "mercy killing". We should leave Allah/God type jobs to Him and do our best at OUR jobs.

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

didn't the doctor see that this was how the baby was going to be ahead of time with the ultrasound they might have done?

But are we saying that God wanted her to have two faces and wanted her to have such a life in such a superficial world?? This is an abnormality and like mama said, has to do with the chemicals, pesticides used by the farmer father and they had/are still having a horrible affect on the parents and child's health. If the pesticides had not been in the picture, God wouldn't have made this baby as it is.

is it selfishness on the part of the parents to keep the baby knowing very well that she will definitely have a hard life? She's the one that suffers all her life. I don't know what to make of this situation.

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

A poor farmer's wife in rural India is highly unlikely to have ANY kind of pre-natal support let alone having an ultrasound.

That said, there are many educated and well-off people who would welcome a child such as this as a blessing, as THESE parents have done. They feel they are blessed to have her and may THEY be blessed for that! Any child that you are lucky enough to have is truly a miracle and a blessing from God/Allah and also one of HIS children. Kill one of HIS children even if your intentions are "good" and be prepared to pay the price, kwim?

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

^The reality is that this happened because of the horrible affects of chemicals being used!! Let's not forget that.

I'm not in support of killing this baby like pallav said but God help me, I can't imagine the horrible life she will have. I would rather not get all philosophical and would rather see the reality of the situation.

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

You HAVE to get philosophical here, thats the important thing. I mean, if you talk to most people who are different in some way or people with handicaps, the extreme majority of them LIKE their lives and are dearly loved by their families and friends. So if you want to put someone to death for having an affliction, start with your own family. OK who has heart disease and will pass it on to their kids? And who has some sort of deformity? And who has any other sort of inheritable disease? Take all of em out of the picture right? Its a mercy right?

Anyway, that little infant is in the most perfect place possible. She is revered and treasured not only by her family but by her entire community. The cause of her affliction could as easily be a genetic blip as it could be pesticide so lets not jump to conclusions and in the end, does it really matter? She is loved and wanted and thats all that matters.

I have a son with troubles and I have to say that he may never be a rocket scientist but he will certainly be a productive member of society. He is JUST the sunshine of my life...and everyone who meets him just wants to eat him up because he's just so cute. And when I hear people touting mercy killing of afflicted children it really breaks my heart. You who are saying these things cannot possibly understand until you have your own.

While I'm quite sure my son will face people like this in his life, he is blessed with enough self-esteem and is so very loved by his family and friends that he is well-equipped to get over it. And it sounds like the girl with 2 faces will be much the same despite people like you.

Re: Indian Baby with 2 faces..

getting all philosophical is one thing, and seeing the reality of life is another. philosophy wont earn her bread and butter, give her a social life without the dose of suprised look and the feeling of pity/disgust/shock.
what if she ends up without any companion?? not being loved by a man(not bro/daddy/friend, but bf/hubby)?? childless?? wont she question why she is so different than the others?? when she grows up a lil, will the other kids go and be-friend with her??? what if she ends up with the tag of a "Witch"(ppl in India get titled a Goddess/God/Godman/Witch/Devil/Satan without any due notice)?? how will her poor parents support her??? what if she ends up in a circus?? or worse, in a lab?? how will she deal with the daily un-wanted media attention she will be getting???
believe me, let her reach 14 or so, and she would herself ask her parents why didnt they kill her when she was born.

it would take more time than the baby's full lifetime to teach ppl to respect the especially talented ppl. and till then, what happens to the baby??? you wont have to face the hardships, but she would have to.
