An army lieutenant was killed and two personnel were injured when their tank fell into a well during a military exercise in Rajasthan’s Churu district, police said today.
The mishap occurred at Teterwal ki Rohi village in the wee hours on Tuesday.
Lieutenant Nishant Karol, who hails from Chandigarh, received serious head injuries.
He was immediately rushed to hospital where he succumbed to injuries, they said.
According to sources, the military exercise was going on for last few days.
An MBT usually has sensors as well as Night Vision equipment, which can easily show an ant crawling infront of the tank. Its hard to say here , which to blame, equipment or leadership.

either the well was too big or the tank was too small.
or perhaps that tank was a "well oiled" machine.
BTW, if you really spent time with Pak army (or American army etc. ) during their exercises, you will find many many Nishants. It is just that our Nishants do not make the front page news.

actually one of the indian news channels NDTV was reporting that the well dident existed a night before the incident and rumors are that it was dug by Lieutenant Nishant Karol’s officer in command, Captain Gaurav Malhotra as a practical joke that went bad.
