Indian Army chief suffers hearing loss

Updated at: 2028 PST, Tuesday, January 19, 2010
Indian Army chief suffers hearing loss NEW DELHI: Indian Army chief Deepak Kapoor can be the first army chief in the world to retire on the basis of medical reason.

He is suffering from hearing impairment after exposure to heavy booming sound of artillery guns during a demonstration on anti-terror operation in the US in July last year.

As a result, the army chief has been placed in a lower medical category just four months before retirement. A lower medical category indicates partial disability and entitlement to higher pensions.

The doctor’s certificate, issued on November 23 last year, says during the army chief’s visit to the US in July 2009, “he was closely exposed to loud noise in the form of small weapons firing and gun firing during a counter-terrorism demo by US soldiers. Since then he has developed acute deafness in the left ear. He was unable to discriminate between spoken words.”

Re: Indian Army chief suffers hearing loss

Apparently after suffering from brain loss a while ago,he now suffers hearing loss.

hehehehehe
Hopefully this will have a domino effect on other generals in Indian army.

I believe he went deaf due to the multitude/magnitude of the uproar that he had to HEAR form us Pakistanis for being nasty to us LOL!!!!!

Nuff said!

I bet you are right about the brain loss that he had because no one in their right minds can make such war monger statements that he made ----- LOL!!!!!

Re: Indian Army chief suffers hearing loss

^^

Thought war mongering statements were patented by the Pakistani Leaders. Dont know who it was who spoke about the 1000 year war with India...

Then you are unaware of how many times your indian politicians are hen-pecking Pakistan.
But that happens too often with Indians who never look in the mirror because they will be
too ashamed of what they will see...and that is: REALITY, that they cannot handle.

Aha ….. so predictable of you to bring up your twisted, crafty and completely out of context version of the original “1000 year war with India over the Kashmir dispute” statement by President Zardari!

How guileless of President Zardari to make such an obtuse ripost on January 07, 2010 in response to the warmonger general Kapoor's patriotic statement made on January 04, 2010. Instead the good general should have been given cordial invitation to take over Pakistan and should have been treated red carpet upon his advent.

Yes general Deepak kapoor’s statements sounds preposterous to his enemy and this is due to the confidence he has on his boys whom he commands
After all, he commands an army which made 90,523 enemies surrender.
The army which wiped out enemy from kargil heights where enemy had absolute advantage.
A general cannot speak like politician; he always spoke like a general should.
“ a 1000 years (covert) war against India” should be the right statement
Because every one here knows what would happen if there is a open war, either Pakistani’s will surrender like they had done in past or as both countries are nuclear armed, they will destroy each other.

Re: Indian Army chief suffers hearing loss

note "higher pension". I bet the rascal schemed it!

Re: Indian Army chief suffers hearing loss

Truly astounding for some one to suffer from amnesia when it comes to MM Alam the finest of the finest who took out Nine IAF Fighter Planes in less then fifteen minutes what a humiliation indeed!

Nuff said!

Rascal is the one who staged coup in the country, sent its prime minister to exile, ruled despotically for good eight years, launders money and now lives peacefully in London. Hope it is clear to you who the rascal is?

But that legand MM Alam (if he is legend I don’t know) wasn’t able to save your country, IAF even successfully raided Sargodha sector not only that on December 5. flg off. BC Karambaya destroyed American brigadier general Chuck Yeager’s BeechQueen air craft at your Chakala sector
Humiliation is when your soldiers (90523 of them) surrendered
But better stick to topic and you can open new thread for this topic

Re: Indian Army chief suffers hearing loss

Is only the Army chief suffering from this problem?

Is it the same MM Alam who was grounded for the 1971 war since he was a Bengali ??

Nice way to treat a hero :hoonh:

Re: Indian Army chief suffers hearing loss

its very common in kapoors.

My dear I am not ignorant on anything on the issue of Indian wars , you talked about your hero and I talked about mine, that is the reason I juxtaposed two different wars, just to convey the PAF always drew inspiration from its fictitious past and self proclaimed 4:1 ratio, IAF learnt from mistakes
Rest is your wish dear,if you want to reply me or not
Noone here, knows more about IAF than me, I was born inside it.
