Indian police and army has been involved in Human Rights abuses in Kashmir for the last 62 years and they only found 80 personnel being involved??? This is somewhat outrageous. Thousands of unnamed graves of innocent civilians are found in Kashmir each day that are killed in mock operations by the Indian Army.Their atrocities against Kashmiries is not hidden to anyone. It seems that everyone wants to see a prosperous & free Kashmir except for the occupiers, so that they can keep on grabbing a piece of land, attached to their name.

Re: Indian Army admits involvement of its personnel in human rights violations in Kas

Lt. Gen Mukesh needs to clarify whether he was referring to the entire time of enforcement, or the last year.

Re: Indian Army admits involvement of its personnel in human rights violations in Kas

^Aray yaar, even if it is in last year , the amount of crack downs and killings without trials far exceeds that of the people they are trying to pin down. There are day to day killings of innocent people crying for freedom, even least to get their basic human rights.

Re: Indian Army admits involvement of its personnel in human rights violations in Kas

and u have pak papers crrying such reports to brainwash u guys so that u can start whining in various forums

good going i must say....

we would keep our mouth shut when we see muslims killing muslims in darfur and in lebanon...

And lose your claim over 'Biggest Asian Democracy'? Go for it...there's more to lose in keeping quiet when you see wrong happening. No matter who it happens to...

Re: Indian Army admits involvement of its personnel in human rights violations in Kas

Hello all!

This is actually some what old news. Some senior officers were prosecuted last year for HR violations. I just hope in the process they don't become soft on the terrorists. It is a tough job distinguishing between terrorist rats and others since they look alike.

Teggy, we are actually the biggest democracy, globally - not just asia.

Re: Indian Army admits involvement of its personnel in human rights violations in Kas

So what if they admitted 26 human rights abuses out of the thousands that they're guilty of.

The fact remains that the Supreme Court of India albeit gave Indian security forces the right to kill any Kashmiri they take into custody without any evidence in a ruling last year. The whole system is corrupt.

Re: Indian Army admits involvement of its personnel in human rights violations in Kas

^^

Well atleast a begining is made. What about the atrocities in BD,Balochistan, Lal Masjid etc

What about the atrocities there? People all over Pakistan and even those who were previously connected with the government have come out to vociferously protest all this. The political prisoners in Balochistan have been released, the elected chief minister is a nationalist. Has anything even close to this happened anywhere in India???

Of course not. Indian Hindus support the killing of Muslims and the rape of Muslim women.

That is why the population of muslims in India is still growing while you have decimated your hindu bretheren.

They are protesting agains the atrocities in BD. Well isnt it a too late for that. Great to know that the political prisoners in Balochistan have been released. Well who put them there in the first place.

You are questioning if anything close to this has happened in India. If you are talking about the large scale annihilation of particular communities(If u want specific example Bangladesh,Mohajirs, Hindus), I agree nothing like that has happened in India...

You are absolutely right... the treatment of sikhs, Godhra, Occupied Kashmir, the setting on fire of Christian missionaries and their children, the on going burning of untouchables from time to time...and now target practice on the Gujjars...nothing can ever compare to that.

Decimating hindu brethren theory has been disproved here time and time again. Start a campaign to sponsor Pakistani Hindus for citizenship to India and lets see how many takers you get....

8000 takers by the last count.

Oh wow people who were there for since 1980s were finally given citizenship. They came over when dacoity in sindh was at its peak and there was a general law and order situation. It was well known that dacoits would pick particularly on the hindu traders. A lot of people left then hindus and non hindus. I am asking about offering hindus in Pakistan a chance today and see how many take.

Re: Indian Army admits involvement of its personnel in human rights violations in Kas

Why was it a practise that dacoits would pick particularly on the hindu traders. Was it because these traders were weak and vulnerable !!!
