Arguing that Islamabad is using terrorism as a tool for its foreign policy, especially against India, an Indian-American group asked Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday to declare Pakistan as a terrorist State and seize all its nuclear weapons.

“Instead of penalizing Pakistan for its support to the notorious terrorists and spreading global terrorism, US, unfortunately, is rewarding this country with the deadly weapons and billions of dollars of hard cash,” Narayan Kataria, head of New York-based Indian American Intellectual Forum, said in a letter to Clinton.

Similar letters have also been written to several influential lawmakers.

“We should recognize in unambiguous terms that Pakistan is the root cause of terror and instability in that region. In order to win the war in Afghanistan it is essential that American war strategy should be focused on Pakistan. In the next 18 months, American troops will be leaving Af-Pak region,” Kataria said.

The letter said, Indian American Intellectual Forum believe that it is inappropriate for the US to prop up Pakistan and balance its strategic partnership with India by selling deadly F-16 to Pakistan Air Force together with other advanced weapons and avionics for air-to-air combat that appear to us unnecessary for counter-insurgency operations in mountainous area against Taliban.

“This is being done in spite of the admission by General (Pervez) Musharraf that Pakistan is modifying the arms, which are meant to fight the terrorists, for use against India,” the letter said.

“Intelligence inputs received by Indian officials indicate that Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba has acquired as many as 50 para-gliding equipments from China for the potential use to launch suicide attacks in India. This, obviously, could not be accomplished without Pakistan’s active connivance, complicity and tactical support,” it said.

This is what they say openly. If you discover their mental brainwashing & manipulation they secretly carry out of not only the world's leaders but also of the common random non-Pakistani / non-muslim people against Pakistan & Pakistanis in the US, UK and many other countries around the globe, you most probably would lose your sleep knowing what a dangerous nation we are. Try listening to the poor bollysh!tish stories they tell privately to non-Pakistanis / non-muslims about us real dangerous demons the world's people are not safe from.

And no Im not joking. They've very cunningly carried out this plan of theirs over the past many years and have successfully used stupid Pakistani people, Pakistani identities and Pakistani soil to prove their point.

agree with Ambassador1's post. just read an article by some gora about Malik and Mirza's marriage... and the tone was so nasty... he's still so ticked off by Malik's gaffe re thanking Muslims for their support. so much underlying hatred.

having said that and as incensed as I am by the above above, is it really any surprise? read this forum (or any Pak forum for that forum - go pkpolitics, go to friendskorner). all of them are overrun by JI types who support and sympathize with terrorists. this site is filled with conspiracy theories by Pakistanis about Pakistan. this is not Pakistanis making excuses and finding conspiracy theories for say Ajmal Kasab who attacked India. this is Pakistanis defending terrorists who attacked their OWN country via conspiracy theories.

we're defending and making excuses for those who kill our own and destroy our own country! so, is it any surprise that ppl think of us the way they do?

Some Indian ThUNK TUNKS are full of chana daal hot air,
and their
$tupeed letters to clinton will be discarded in the toilet just like the chana daal hot air has to be pushed out of the room.

Many people including Pakistanis and Arabs etc. think that American policies are simply the result of lobbyists.

It couldn't be further from truth.

Lobbyists are allowed to debate for their "team".

But ultimate decisions especially about foreign affairs are made in "American interests".

So as long as Pakistan helps the USA to meet its interests,

I agree with you. This letter is meant more for Indian consumption than it is as a submission for serious consideration in foreign policy. I don't think any Indians foolishly believe that the US is going to change the tunes on Pakistan anytime soon. Obama needs Pakistan to act to pacify the Taliban and capture the Al Qaida elements in Pakistani cities.
But, this letter is really a demonstration of a much more complex and mature foreign policy approach by India. One that involves engagement with governments at all levels and all over the world. It would come as no surprise to me if one of the backers of this think tank was GoI.
What it really shows is that Indians are able to keep the pressure up on Pakistan by engaging foreign governments at official levels, and civil levels. The India caucus is fairly large in the US Congress, and this letter is just meant as a "but don't forget" type of message.
The general consensus amongst Indian think tanks is that Indian and foreign business need to bypass the Pakistani governments and Army and engage the people directly. Instead of giving aid, give business loans and direct business investments. If you look at the much larger body of publications by Indian think tanks, that's what you'll see. And that really is the message. This is just a side show.

Unfortunately this is true.

We the people of Pak and Ind are the inheritors of rajas and nawabs who fought amongst each other like rabid cats until someone from outside came and enslaved everyone.

This was true in the times of Mouryas, and every other dynasty that came from outside and became the emperors of the Hind.

How was E. India company able to conquer the whole Hind using 3500 odd british soldiers?

by taking advantage of the never-ending cat-fight amongst the people of the subcontinent.

How did petty warlords from Afghanistan capture the Hind?

Maybe we should analyse the relationship between the USA-Pak and USA-India in terms of defence, aid, investment in various sectors, diplomatic contact and every other way foreign governments co-operate and then we can see who stands where.

No need to analyze anything. Pakistan is independent of India. Its about time we accepted that and did not see ourselves vis a vis India. Basically we need to stop acting like the Indian government and establish ourselves independently of that.
