it was a 3 year training program for the Pakistani crew is what I remember.
Please tell Pakistan air chief about the “one” he has 
… he is not aware of it … still planning to get one by October … and yes Pakistani source !!!

The air chief said acquisition of spying satellite and AWACS by India had created an “imbalance in the power” in the region, in response to which, Pakistan would get an Air Warning and Control System (AWACS) by October.

Pakistan receiving from and manufacturing with China an AWACS.
& the Swedish systems with the Ericson radars.
idealisticaly it billions being spent to kill each other whereas both know both would be loosers in any conflict..
