A court in the Indian city of Mumbai (Bombay) has granted bail to Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja, who is accused of raping his maid. Ahuja has been in custody since mid-June. He denies charges of rape, criminal intimidation and wrongful confinement.
The court has ordered the actor to stay away from Mumbai while he is on bail.
Ahuja is seen as an up-and-coming actor who has made an impression in Bollywood’s independent cinema scene.
He has acted in films such as Life in a Metro and Gangster, and worked with a number of leading directors.
“From day one we have said that Shiney is innocent,” his wife said.

Don’t know if he “raped” her or not, but he did confess to “consensual sex” with the maid. That is disgusting enough for me

The court has still not made up its mind. The guy says he is innocent. And the entire world thinks he is lying. Should she believe what everybody else says is true or trust her husband? It is not such a simple decision to make. As a partner you should believe and trust your other half more than what a third person would. That level of trust is what makes a good relationship. It is also what makes betrayal that much more difficult to bear. You cannot fault her for standing by her husband. That is what i meant to say.

^hhunaeh: The wife was in USA for the past 2 years. She stormed back home upon hearing the news of his arrest.
While she may have been living a virgin life, it seems that she is "covering" up for him because she may not have a way out. After all, besides them having a love marriage and a kid, there is also an upscale life style... hmmmmmmmmmmmmm but makes me think their location in India is upscale, but she was not living it since she was in the "downscale" USA working....
confusing on what she is trying to save.
Also, this situation is absolutely a learning experience for the rest of us WOMEN.
I say this because that rapist was out of jail, however, yesterday there was briefs on him that the first director whom he acted for has SIGNED HIM for another movie.
This shows that GUYS always SUPPORT GUYS no matter what and they are there to cover their each others butt. However, if a woman has done something wrong she is tarnished for the rest of her life - from her family, friends, social groups, and the media if she is a celebrity. In this case, MEN AND WOMEN, do not support her in any which ways.
She is trashed, while the guy is glorified. Such is life :(
