Karachi, Aug 26 (ANI): A leading religious leader in Pakistan has expressed fears that if the Pakistan government continues with its policy of cracking down upon the Madarassas (in the event of not getting registered by December 31), India would become the hub of Islamic activity and the centre of the Islamic world.
Tanzeem-ul-Madaris president and chairman of the Reut-e-Hilal committee, Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman said that Pakistan government’s policy of expelling foreign students from its seminaries was beyond the country’s (read Islamic) interests, and it is not far when “India will ultimately become the centre for Islamic world.”
He claimed that Madarassas were never involved in extremist activities.
“As president of Tanzeem-ul-Madaris Ahl-e-Sunnat I declared that our Madaris are not involved in terrorism, extremism or imparting education of religious hatred. We have never refused Madaris’ registration, and it was the federal government that imposed ban on seminaries registration,” the Online News quoted Rehman as saying.
He further said that those Madarassas which are registered under the Society Act, 1960, or the Trust Act, 1882, should be considered as registered, and not asked for fresh registration.
Rehman also made it clear that from the platform of Ittehad Tanzeemat-e-Madaris the religious leaders would fight to protect rights of seminaries.

Well, what do you expect?
When the economy tanks or the army does something dumb, the politicians use India card to survive.
Similarly when Musharaf turned on the Madrassas to get out of the London ire, these so called "religious" barons have learned to play the India card.
Ask these guys what's important to them and they'll say religion first and Pakistan next. So then ask them why not move to India and watch them wriggle in their own duplicity
How about they use their "enormous" influence within the Islamic sisterhood and get visas to emirates or ksa and move?

Islamic activity is in the mind it is not restricted by any false borders or government crackdowns how can you defeat an ideology by these tactics when the secular extremists come to clamp down with their military via orders from Bush or Blair when they arrest an individual they also made that individuals family and their relatives involved so they can not win whatever they try.

This statement is grossly inaccurate. It only has a limited kernel of truth; India would become the centre of Deobandi activity, just as it was in the past before the formation of Pakistan.
From what I'm reading, Barelvi madrassas are more compliant with the government and unlikely to be significantly affected.
However, only a minority of Islamic activity goes on in Pakistan so to say that India would become the centre of the Islamic world is incorrect.
The extensive religious education and activity in Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Middle East would be entirely unaffected by what Pakistan does.

That is correct the focus on pakistan is over the top, most people commenting have’nt got a clue what is being taught in madrassas in the first place, they are getting their information second hand from western media sources which are as we know are extremly anti muslim.

do they teach u that the people starving to death in Sudan and Bosnia are also muslims that need help......?what about jihad against men in peshawar abusing little boys behind their shops(as seen with my own two eyes), or does their world only consist of israel-palestine, india-pak conflict?
