After some thinking my summary of the whole thing is:
- It is impossible to know things that happened (or did not happen) very long ago.
2.To progress as civilized people we have to apply our reasoning based on today's values.
This application has to be consistent across all class of people - religions, nations, enthnicity, occupation etc
Thatd mean that if a large part of a population believes in something that has to be held 'self evident' or at least not affronted in disrespect
If these are violated, extremism takes over resulting in national destruction (pakistan being an example).
And we have to be cognizant of the fact that this rule of large numbers can be at times dangerous - example hitler's germany
