Re: India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test --- Old School Veterans vs The Freaks
49.4 Ishant to Warnapura, no run, short on the middle and leg, hurries onto the left hander, Warnapura tries to pull, off the hips to the keeper, stifled appeal for a caught behind goes down, will the Indians ask for a review, no they don't, they have lost one already!
Re: India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test --- Old School Veterans vs The Freaks
Lunch, day 2
Sri Lanka: 205/2 (59.0 Ovs)
There was some excitement all through.
1. Warnapura was caught off a no ball
2. there was a leg before appeal against him which was asked for a review by India. India lost the referral.
3. Jayawardene was dropped by Karthik on 55
4. Warnapura reaching his 2nd test century.

On another note, Dave Richardson of the ICC was in the commentary box just before the lunch session and had the same views as the majority; that the ummpire's authority is getting called upon. He also talked about Steve Bucknor's effigies being burnt in India and that, coupled with the authority of on-field umpires being questioned, it is 'not good for the game'.

When I visit Cricinfo, it displays an advt --- "Find the perfect Indian Partner in California".
Now I know that it can tell I am in California from my IP, but how the heck does it know I am an Indian. Is it just taking a good guess ? Or does it feel that all people who visit Cricinfo deserve an "Indian" partner, given their interest in Cricket.
Anywhoooo.......3 Sri Lankan ceturions in a day.....the only thing Test Matches in the subcontinent is good for.

hmm i never noticed...funny i get the same thing...dont hardly look at the ads..
neways looks like another sad advertisement for cricket SL 422/4 with rain and a placid slow low pitch and no help for the bowlers--all things look to be poiinting to a draw.
Re: India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test --- Old School Veterans vs The Freaks
I think we'll see a result on the evening of the fourth day. :)
Nah game is going to the last day. Middle order is not going to throw it away in 2nd inning again, Shewag will ...! plus Laxman is still there. Its hard to avoid follow on, but he can waste valuable time
Re: India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test --- Old School Veterans vs The Freaks
So M&M dismantled India's much vaunted batting easily...but I am more concerned of our bowling. India's bowling is practically toothless on an unfriendly track.
We don't have a tearaway fast bowler OR an exceptional spinner in our ranks who can perform regardless of the pitch. Ishant is apparently the best we have got, and that is not good enough.
