I agree with Rahane and love of captain for some players but most of the captains do the same thing. Ashwin did sooper bowling and it seems Harbajan period is over. May be Rohit will score double in next match
This was totally unexpected. It wasn’t day 5 and the pitch wasn’t misbehaving. Indian batsmen surely lost the plot as 176 was not a huge total to chase on this wicket. Herath (7/48) was the star of today but Chandimal was deservingly adjudged the man of the match. His 162* gave Lanka outside hope. Herath (4/15) also had a hand in the unlikely win against us at Galle in 2009 when Pakistan needing 168 for victory were all out for 117. When Herath gets it (spin) going, he is tough to negotiate in Lankan conditions for sure.
Misha at number 10 actually played him positively. Ashwin also was playing him well. These were the only two who used their feet.
Ashwin got out playing what looked like a good shot -using his feet he hit Herath (granted against the turn) to midwicket. It looked like the ball was going through. But Chandimal took a stunner moving wide to his right.
There were about 5 or 6 great catches in that Indian 2nd inning. Catchis do win matchis
