On another note, last night, I picked up the phone and dialed Dish Network (shoot me) to confirm the match timings. How convenient for me, a barely-speaking English "Cheeni" guy picked up my line, and I counted my lucky stars. After giving him my "khaandaani shajra", I asked him a simple question, and that was, (which I repeat) "Could you please let me know what time is the match starting?" How would I have known that I could have easily taken a half-hour warm shower in the meantime!? The guy had absolutely no clue. Apparently, he was not the only one to have visited Dish Network's website for the first time in his life (as God is my witness). He couldn't get to the sports page for five minutes (a simple one-click will take you there, mind you), and moreover, kept putting me on hold after every ten seconds, and get this.........while he was talking to me, in a very relaxed, comfortable tone, he whispered "While you are holding I am going to add this package to your account." Initially, a thought crossed my mind: "Unbelievable! Such a classy English accent, he really has customer service skills", but another thought ran quickly, crossing my first one: "Only if he would have applied such a care and gentle tone throughout the duration of our meeting, I wouldn't be so frustrated now, would I?" Hence, I refused the magnificient offer.
In the end, I just want to emphasize that their customer service is flat-out pathetic. Downright disgusting and pathetic. I have no words whatsoever for such a ridiculous piece of notion which they conveniently call "customer service". Let's not forget the rip-off from last night. If I were to be in the shoes as you (paid for the deal), I would have called them immediately after the news broke. Never mind the pleasures and joy of watching free cricket, how in the world could someone let a blunder like this to even occur in the first place? Unforgivable!

Yeah, I discovered that last night when I turned it on to ORDER IT but it was already playing so... good news. But, I hear the only first day was free. We will see tonight.

Yar you should be thankful that atleast you are able to watch the series here in USA. I don't know about you but I would have been very very disappointed in case I had to watch the series on computer.

Don't tell me that you actually are thinking that they will be doing that for the entire series.
If you have international packages like Urdu or South Asian packages on Dish., than you must have noticed that often they offer a channel for free preview for couple of weeks. Does that mean that all the subscribers of that channel who are paying monthly for it should start freaking out?
Bhai merey there is something which is called marketting. They were trying to do marketting of this series to as many people as they can, by offering the first day play for free.
Dishnetwork has their monopoly here in USA and they have been ripping us of for the last 3 years, but for the very first time they have shown a sign that they care about the customers. Believe me comparing with earlier packages of Pak/India series, $149 is not bad at all. Willow TV is offering the webcast of the series for the same amount.
