The mistake was made earlier on when the batsmen treated Neth bowling with contempt and try hitting every ball out of the park, worked for a while and than came back to haunt them. Why pathan was sent in at number 3 is beyond me.

Sending in Pathan at # 3 put unnecessary pressure on the following batsmen. Dhoni probably wanted Pathan to get some practice at the expense of the minnows
