Sending in Pathan at # 3 put unnecessary pressure on the following batsmen. Dhoni probably wanted Pathan to get some practice at the expense of the minnows :)

A good win if not a comprehensive one. It again underlines the fact that chasing is a problem for most teams regardless of how strong the batting is. India were 99/4 at one stage
