India vs. England - 6th One Day in Mumbai.. what a good finish

Well hats off to England being able to win with such a “horrible” team. Travelling from one side of the country with less rest, playing in humid conditions, huge crowds, absolutley different pitch types.. in this case a 3-3 draw is something special.

I watched the whole series, and was really amazed by the way England batted off at the beginning of the 6th one day, amazingly fast on a bouncy track. At one point of the game, England could have reached 355 at the pace they were going

India seriously need to get that Agarkhar out of the team. He was giving up 9.4 runs off every over.

Tendulkar and Sehwag really disapointed me. I expected them to come out with a first wicket partnership, able to opress England’s modest total of 255. Though at the end, everyone collapsed and it came down to 12 runs off 6 balls.

But I got to admit that the excitement that was in the stadium at the time was really amazing, thinking whether India would hold the cup or share it.

Anyways.. it was a good series. I believe Zimbabwe is comming to India soon and England’s off to NZ.

One word of suggestion I’d give BCCI is, play more one days in bigger venues, that rarely get them, eg. Calcutta, Madras, Mumbai. It is is quite a thrill to actually watch games there than Cuttuck

But I guess those venues are only for Test matches.

I guess Indian cricket board are probably kicking themselves because they made the series 6 matches from 5.
england certainly played well, not many teams can come into India and give them such a hard time in both test and one days. except pakistan and australia.
overall england was a better team throughout the whole tour except for the first day of the first test, they also could have won the one day series if it wasn't for that awkard decision by the stupid umpire in the first match against trescothick.
Trescothick deserved the man of the series rather than tendulkur.
i must admit that one days in India is better than anywhere else in the world.

Thank you, come again

why hats off to england, if india is a 'horrible' team. better congratulate them when they win against a good team. what if the temperature and humidity is high in india, if indian cricketers go to england, they dont play in air-conditioned the stadiums.

in any case, hats off to england they came off well in position of pressure. with 60 runs remaining and 7 wickets in hand, indian team could not do it even at run rate less than 5. as usual, lack of character. nothing new. the only wins have been wins by a mile, when it comes to close finish, india loses.
