India v Pakistan at Dhaka - Jun 10, 2008

Match scheduled to begin at 15:00 local time (09:00 GMT)

As regards the Indian team, any combination of 11 players that does not include the phoney Robin Uthappa is acceptable for this game.

India rode on Tendulkar’s knocks to win the triangular series in Australia – otherwise the batting of other youngsters (barring Rohit Sharma) was pretty abysmal…and Tendulkar is not around this time…

Also, given that it has been raining in Dhaka......there is great likelihood that we would see another curtailed match -- in which case I feel "luck" would play a significant role for either team.

Re: India v Pakistan at Dhaka - Jun 10, 2008

India vs. Pakistan will always have the pizzaz and hot spices. :k:

India have won the toss and will bat first.

In the absence of Asif & Actor, Pakistan's World Class bowling will be lead by the deadly and lethal Umar Gul, Sohail Tanveer, Rao Iftikhar ...........

First over 9 runs good start for india

Re: India v Pakistan at Dhaka - Jun 10, 2008

2.4 Gul to Gambhir, FOUR!!, length delivery on the off, slanting away from the left hander, Gambhir goes on the backfoot and looks to defend, outside edge runs it down to third man for four, just wide of 2nd slip, Gul is disappointed!

india 22 after 3 overs

good going

Gambir dropped in the first over by Pakistan super star Younis Khan.

Re: India v Pakistan at Dhaka - Jun 10, 2008

is that a joke

yunis khan, super star :omg:

Dhaka has been an unlucky place for the Indian debutants. Many cricketers who have made their debut at Dhaka have gone into the wilderness and are no more big names in World Cricket. A few examples:- Shiv Sunder Das, Amit Bhandari, Avishkar Salvi, Rahul Sanghvi, Syed Saba Karim. It is interesting to note here that Gautam Gambhir had also made his debut at Dhaka and although he is beginning to be a permanent fixture in the side now, in 5 years of his international career, he has managed to play just 47 ODIs.

Pakistan are running short of ideas here. The captain can't really do much when his bowlers are bowling all lengths and spraying it around all over the place. The 11 extras have added to the woes too. Fifty is up for India. Perhaps Shoaib Malik needs to think out of the box here. May be introduce spin and cut down the pace. He has to try something different here.

Re: India v Pakistan at Dhaka - Jun 10, 2008

a good first over from wahab riaz spoiled by gambhir hitting a FOUR on the last ball....

In simple words: dhulai shuru

yes to some Pakistani fans he may be a super star…

Don’t you think he is a super star?

Re: India v Pakistan at Dhaka - Jun 10, 2008

Dropped for the second time here!!! First on 4 and now on 29 by the same fielder. Younis Khan is the culprit again and this time the suffering bowler is Wahab Riaz.

8.6 Riaz to Gambhir, 2 runs, full outside the off stump, Gambhir flashes and gets a thick outside edge, flies towards the widish 1st slip, catch dropped!!, Younis Khan the culprit on that occasion
