**A defiant final-day century from Mushfiqur Rahim proved to be in vain as India beat Bangladesh by 113 runs in the first Test in Chittagong.**Set a target of 415, Bangladesh resumed on 67-2, but were soon in deeper trouble when Ishant Sharma removed Mohammad Ashraful and Raqibul Hasan.
The only meaningful resistance came from Tamim Iqbal (52) and wicketkeeper Rahim, who made 101 from 114 balls.
Rahim was the last man out as the hosts were dismissed for 301.
The second Test between the sides is in in Dhaka and starts on Sunday.
