My sister lives in London and wants to visit India in July. She is a UK national and holds a British Passport. She recently applied for a tourist visa for India at the India High Commission in London but was rejected as she has previosuly held a Pakistani passport.
The visa officer has asked her to obtain a letter from a sponsor in India and also to get her Pak passport renewed (which expired years ago). Can anyone please suggest the best approach for her to secure the tourist visa for India so that she can travel on her British passport (and avoid the need for renewing the Pak passport altogether)?
She has already purchased her ticket and needs to get the visa within the next 4 weeks.
