FYI. History of Af-Pak-Ind doesn’t start and stop with Ghauri or Ghazni or Abdali or some other warlord descending from the Hindu Kash mountains.
It goes way before Ghauri Ghazni etc. And it continues on after them.
anyone studying Af-Pak should know that 1800 started a new trend where Afghans were whooped and they all ran with their tails tucked you know where and disppeared through the khyber pass.
19th century consistently saw that Punjabis and Settled Pashtuns kick out the Afghan hoards from the area now part of the modern day Pak.
While Ranjit Singh built his empire, the Brits were using Sindh and Balochistan to play a great game in AFghanistan.
The great game then changed the era of Afghans-deciding-the fate of Indian kings,
And reversed it.
and then Indian subcontinent based kings started changing the warlords in Afghanistan.
And the process continues till today.
Sure there were some moments where Brits or British-Indian troops suffered loss of life in few skirmishes.
But overall Afghanistan was the loser in every which way. Even the name Afghanistan is all thanks to the Brits.
Afghans now are a collection of populace hardly more than a couple of cities of Pakistan.
They are tribal mostly and have no industry whatsoever to support a sustained war on Pakistan let alone on India.
The so-called genie of Afghan warlords is proverbially back in the bottle that constantly gets banged by every tom dick and anwar.
Karazai, Mullah omer, Gul-badan flower body are all little pawns and puppets in the hands of ISI, CIA, and RAW etc.
Those good ole glory days that you talk about are gone, long long gone.
