Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh says India will support Pakistan in getting help from the International Monetary Fund.

Singh assured Pakistan of getting the IMF to bail it out during a news conference on his way back to New Delhi from China on Saturday.
The assurance is seen as another confidence building measure to foster ties between the two Asian rivals.
Manmohan Singh, Indian Prime Minister, said, “I wish the new democratic government in Pakistan well. We would like them to succeed. Pakistan is in serious difficulties, it is going to the International Monetary Fund, and we will support Pakistan getting help from the International Monetary Fund.”
Pakistan requires 10 to 15 billion US dollars of support from foreign lenders to avert a balance of payments crisis and undertake economic adjustments.
Pakistan’s seven-month-old civilian government has been reluctant to go to the IMF for assistance.
But the severity of its balance of payments crisis now appears to leave it with little option.
The country’s foreign currency reserves have been falling at a rate of nearly a billion dollars a month, and the central bank has barely enough to cover six weeks of imports.

All this 'support' is nice but does nothing for the real issue at hand which is Kashmir. Pakistan and Kashmiris are ONE and the SAME; the occupancy needs to be removed. Hindustan has to come to terms with the hatred Kashmiris have for their occupancy.

The Kashmir issue will never be resolved. Extremists on both sides have major ego issues. Nobody wants to compromise. (It's irrelevant to me who is right and who is wrong so spare the lecture)
Wouldn't you might as well build other ties with India? The growing power in your region? It will help you a lot more than it will help India. Otherwise by your logic you should stop all kinds of relations with India. No cricket, no free operations in india for suffering pakistani children, no trade, no joint ventures, nothing !

^^ Yes India have indeed helped Pakistan, IMF have urged World Bank to not to release loan amounting 300 million dollars to Pakistan. Now i see, what Indian meant when they say they want to help.
