India threatens Pakistan of consequences

Re: India threatens Pakistan of consequences

BTW, I dont know about India, but I am quiet sure that our conventional weapons are quite obsolete. And in current situation when we are at war within country, no one needs to formally attack.....

Re: India threatens Pakistan of consequences

Do anyone of you remember the standoff of 2001 or was it 2002 when BJP was ruling? They had deployed over 500k troops along the border but didn't get to attack. Why was it? They have numerical advantage no doubt about it, but at the same time they know very well that attacking Pakistan would destroy Pakistan but at the same time it will wipe out all the economical development of India. so India has more to lose. The combat training of Pak armed forces is based on fighting an enemy which is 4 time bigger than you. This is similar to how Israelis train their forces on how to fight an enemy bigger than you.

Anyone thinks taking on Pak by India would be a cake walk needs to get their information corrected. If anyone thinks whatever happened in former E. Pakistan would be repeated, they are wrong again. The loss of eastern wing was due to lack of political will to work with Bengalis along with mishandling of affairs by the armed forces authority and the huge distance between western and eastern wing that created logistical issues for the armed forces. There isn't going to be nuclear war between Pak and Ind. In a conventional war Indian forces might get a surprise as oppose to what they are expecting such as Pak armed forces falling like dead birds.

Re: India threatens Pakistan of consequences

I wish I could share some details of the missile technology that pakistan has and is currently developing (yes conventional weapons) but I cant share them publicly. Rest assured its not obsolete and its state of the art. Just take my word for it :D You might hear about them a little from time to time in the news in the form of "pakistan has test fired mid-range nuclear capable missile" etc

Re: India threatens Pakistan of consequences

Its much easier to defend then attack. And if indian troops were able to enter any of the big cities or towns, they would have to deal with urban warfare the likes they have never seen and likely to have ever trained for. And Pakistani forces have trained for unconventional warfare vis a vis the Taliban and others, while Indian troops, the only real combat they have seen is firing across the LOC or in Siachin, but it really doesnt compare. So the cost of the war would simply be to much. It would only make the situation infinitely worse for them unless the manage to utterly destroy Pakistan, which is unlikely.
