Summary
India’s insurgent-ridden northeastern region has long given foreign powers a gamut of exploitable secessionist movements to use to prevent India from emerging as a major global player. Though India has grown accustomed to the ongoing volatility in its northeastern corridor, growing Islamization in the region – spurred by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence agency and instability in neighboring Bangladesh – will give New Delhi a good reason to pay closer attention to its porous northeastern border.

Re: India - The Islamization of the North-East
Lately, involvement of ISI has been more and more towards co-ordinating and financing of various insurgent groups.
There also exists a deep nexus between Bangladeshi intelligenec and ISI --- Home minister informed Indian parliament recently for this.
There is an abvious China angle, when it comes to northeast.
Also Bangladeshi radicals are trying to wipe it's past from history books and giving more importance to Arab like Islamization.
Things are really not looking bright since India is surrounded by adversaries and China would never like her to rise as an economic power since both has a border dispute.
I must admit -- India should resolve all it's border disputes with China as soon as possible to give full attention to ISI fed insurgency in this areas.
Recent talks with China in this regard are a good step, in fact a part of this talk is going to be held today, between Bigguo and Narayanan....Let's hope India can establish a fair relation with China in future for wider benefits.
I think minus China, India can handle these homegrown communazis very well.
