who is hrithik roshan? I will give a damn if someone says he/she hates india. why should nepalese worry about remark of some actor in india without any proof and have been repeatedly denied? there is a political angle in this madness. do u really believe that people really come to street on their own because some actor said something. some organization has to spread rumors and curb denials.
It is sheer politics. Major factions, both gurrillas of maoist factions as well as opposition nepali comunist party have links with china who are trying to nurture an anti-indian base in nepal.
there are thousands of goods nepal imports only to end up in india which is essentially explotation of indian goodwill. indian govt. has not bothered on that. there are no real disputes worth mention. thousands of nepalis work in india, seasonally or otherwise. any nepali citizen is elligible for govt of india job and can rise to reasonably high level in army keeping his nepali citizenship. only investment that is coming in nepal is via indian businessmen and most tourism nepal gets is via indians.
it can not be denied that pakistan is running a cacus. last year, a paki dilomat was arested with fake 500 rs. notes (by nepal police, not indian police) and some more diplomats had to be expelled for activities not in tune with their status.
the irony is most ppl in ISI probably didnt even know who this actor is before this episode. like most of us didnt know.
the question is which country's media reported this news? if its india's own newspapers then are they all ISI agents?
i think the indian media screwed up. posting false crap without proof as usual. and now that it has blown up in their face.... they are shifting the blame on who else but ISI.

no! a nepalese newspaper called 'chitwan' which has readership of around 3000 posted it first. its editor claims that someone told him that and he trusted it. (wow! what a defence!) this was 10 days before riots. maybe the news spread similarly and till riots hit, none took it seriously to clarify situation.

Let us get back to Thackrey. Ur usual habit of making allegations from thin air. Does Thackrey talk about Nepal at all?? u make such wild allegations when enough indians do read this forum.
Now if u were a reporter in Nepal, u could publish a news that Thackrey said something on Nepal and it can lead to violence.

Nobody who made charge could give any proof for what Hrithik said. TV channels scnned their tapes and found nothing. Hrithik kept sending denials. But violence continued. Doesnt it smell politics.

zz, no ones doubting that this particular news could be false. the problem is if there is really "love" between ppl of nepal and india this incident would NOT have been blown out of proportion by the ppl of nepal.
there is a consitent pattern of such slurs exchanged like malik has pointed out and which you arent able to deny. so while indian govt can make a fool out of itself and the indian public by blaming this on ISI and external sources.... the "love" that india claims to have with nepal really blew up in its face. there are now reports coming out where the public in nepal is now getting rid of indians businesses etc. Now, that is definitely not due to what an actor said.
