This is unbelievable. I’d like to think that maybe he was referring to a rape allegation being true or false because otherwise, it’s just depressing. How can people vote for politicians like this?

Apparently 20-30% of indian politicians have criminal backgrounds for various crimes including rape allegations. It’s out in the open but most voters don’t check. They are also more likely to win elections with greater votes due to illicit funds so parties are less likely to let them go.
