Well, since India couldn’t pick a fight with a ountry more than 3 times smaller than them (Pakistan), they now have to move on to win another “decisive” victory against a country even smaller this time.
This is a new low.
Deputy Leader Is in Bangladesh, Indian Government Says
By Andrew Hobbs
New Delhi, Nov. 28 (Bloomberg) – Ayman al-Zawahiri, the deputy leader of al-Qaeda, is sheltering in Bangladesh along with more than 100 al-Qaeda members, India’s daily Hindustan Times newspaper cited an Indian government report as saying.
Al-Zawahiri has been in Bangladesh since September, the paper quoted the report as saying. The information will be sent to the U.S. and Bangladesh governments to support Indian Foreign Minister Yashwant Sinha’s statements in parliament yesterday that al-Qaeda is operating in Bangladesh, the paper said without saying where it obtained the report.
``Some al-Qaeda elements have taken shelter in Bangladesh,‘’ the paper quoted Sinha as saying. At least 25 al-Qaeda activists have been training Muslim rebels to fight in India since June last year, according to the government’s report. About 100 more al- Qaeda members arrived in Bangladesh in February and April this year.
Bangladesh, a mainly Muslim nation of 133 million people, shares a 4,053-kilometer (2,519-mile) border with India on its north, east and west. The Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Shamser Chowdhury, in a meeting with India’s High Commissioner earlier this month, denied Indian accusations it supported terror groups or allowed Indian rebel training camps to operate in the country.
