New Delhi, , May. 30 (UPI) – India’s new foreign minister, Natwar Singh, has urged South Asian nations to form a joint cricket team to play against other regions.
“No team in the world can defeat a South Asian team,” Singh was quoted as saying in a report published in regional newspapers Sunday.
South Asia is the home of world’s three major cricket-playing nations, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Another South Asian state, Bangladesh, is also a member of an elite cricket club known as the test-playing nations. India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have all been the cricket world champions.
South Asians have long desired a joint team that can defeat all other teams, including the current champions, Australia.
India currently has the world’s best batsman, Pakistan has the world’s fastest bowler, and Sri Lanka has the world’s most successful spinner.
as usual, another indian minister, natwar singh, is trying to deny two nation theory by proposing such stupid ideas…indian politicians are always ready to come up with ideas which could suggest to the rest of the world that the division between pakistan and india was nothing but a mistake and the two countries are “almost” ready to be re-united…
