In 2001, bilateral trade reached US$ 3596.2 million, an increase of 23.4% over 2000. Indian imports (US$ 1896.3 million) from China increased by 21.5%. Exports (US$ 1699.9 million) to China increased by 25.6%. (Source: Chinese Custom Statistics)
