even I use to think same way.but it's ur karma.may be gods wish kaka you never know.there is another way,if you take up by foot climbing they will allow direct without interruption,8000 steps I think u can find shops every 50 steps,in between there is huge wild life heard tigers coming during night time, but it's highly secured thousands of them will be climbing daily.

also that source on tirumala is written by some tamil guy.it's has nothing to do with tamil nadu.except during ancient times tamil kingdoms like chola,pallavas was under control of this land, they had 12 famous poets known as alvars.during modern times sree krishnadevaraya built the temple including golden shrine inside I think.also this part never came under mughal rule until upper part of andhra(telangana)was captured by nizam,lower belt only came under rule during british.there is a famous chandragiri fort 30km from tirumala.there use to be a big bell inside timurala temple u can hear the sound upto the chandragiri fort below, usually they were done after the prayer is complete.so this guys can stop thier fasting.also all heads of the statues including buddha inside the fort were cut off.heard either raid by nizam or during british :(

also during mansoon tirumala hills are treat to watch.with clouds covering almost like a snow.

^^ I have never been to tirupati but i have heard about it from my friends. they had to stand in line for two days and he said that the amount of donations they get is crazy. they just fill the drums with coins and weigh them instead of counting. i will go there some day when god calls me :)

Dhankar Gompa (also Drangkhar or Dhangkar Gompa; Brang-mkhar or Grang-mkhar) is a Gompa, a Buddhist temple in the district of Lahul and Spiti. It is situated at an elevation of 3,894 metres (12,774 feet) in the Spiti Valley between the towns of Kaza and Tabo. The complex is built on a 1000-foot (300-metre) high spur overlooking the confluence of the Spiti and Pin Rivers - one of the world’s most spectacular settings for a gompa. Dhang or dang means cliff, and kar or khar means fort. Hence Dhangkar means fort on a cliff.

The memorial was designed by Sir William Emerson in an architectural style similar to Belfast City Hall. Earlier asked to design the building in the Italian Renaissance style, Emerson was against the exclusive use of European styles and used Indo-Saracenic style, incorporating Mughal elements in the structure. Vincent Esch was the superintending architect while Lord Redesdale and Sir David Prain designed the gardens. The work of construction was entrusted to Messrs Martin & Co. of Calcutta.

Built between 1906 and 1921, it is a majestic white marble building at the southern end of the Maidan and surrounded by a sprawling garden. A black bronze Angel of Victory, holding a bugle in her hand was placed at the apex of the dome above the Memorial. It is fixed to its pedestal with ball bearings and acts as a weathercock when the wind is strong enough. Mr. A. C. Mitra, Bengal Engineering and Science University-alumnus, was Engineer-in-Charge in the construction project of the Victoria Memorial.
