For a change, the good doctor is off-track. As pointed out by Deeba and Kaka, one car and 5 motor cycles as part of a lottery draw will not contribute significantly to pollution. The payoff is significant reduction in population, with a measurable and significant reduction in carbon footprint. I do not see anything sinisiter, stupid or silly here.

Dissapointed with treehugger for the misleading article. Used to (and still) respect that organization.
