How about Pakistanis praising Gandhi? He faced improsonment, lived a frugal life and fought for peace in very adverse circumstances for India. But what is now Pakistan also got Independence because of his efforts. How much is his sacrifice acknowledged in Pakistan? What does a Pakistani feel about Gandhi?
Sure Indians want a secure and prosperous Pakistan. But do the Pakistani's want to be responsible state or a trouble creator in the region? Slowly, the realisation will dawn on Pakistan that far from being a leader of all Muslim nations it has slowly slipped into a mess of its own creation. Aspirations of being an Islamic power have been shattered. Pakistan has been left behind in the race for development, its Madrasa educated youth calling its long time saviour the US an enemy. The need of the hour is economic development, education and infrasctructure. Replace the AK-47 with a pen or a computer programme. Remove notions of Shia-Sunni religious divide and make religion a personal matter and not of the state. Then, maybe we can have an educated, moderate Pakistan. Free of doubts of its own identity and free of its divisive, primitive and feudal elite.

India and Pakistan always on a war edge is not good for economic prosperity or long standing progress, majoriity of each countires income is spent on latest military hardware as a result fundamental sectors are neglected such as education and public utility services which suffer as a result.
Amerikka is allowing the situation to become friendly in my opinion because they want to focus on china and they want india to be a counter bullwark aganist china to keep it in check. An india not focused or always watching its flank for pakistan cannot be fully focused on china.

What is happening around the world is a seachange of flow of capital and technology, you can sit on your thumbs and tickle your aholes or join in the way the world is moving. 10-20 years is a relatively short amount of time to change the global economic paradigm. Just ask france and germany.,

Nope, only guys who tried for 55 years to gain land and failed every time are full of $hit. I’m glad Musharraf has seen the light and agreed to LoC as border.
