Islamic rebels planning strike on India’s nuclear facilities: official
12 minutes ago
NEW DELHI (AFP) - India has been warned by its intelligence agencies that a Pakistan-backed Islamic rebel group could target its nuclear installations, National Security Advisor M K Narayanan said.
Describing it as a “very serious threat,” Narayanan Friday identified Lashker-e-Taiba (LeT) as the group planning the strike.
“There is information that maybe one of our atomic energy installations could be the target,” he told CNN-IBN news channel.
“It’s (an) LeT operation… it is a very serious threat,” he said.
India has pointed a finger at the LeT – a rebel group active in the restive Himalayan region of Kashmir](http://search.news.yahoo.com/search/news/?p=Kashmir) – for a series of bomb attacks on commuter trains in India’s financial hub of Mumbai on July 11 that killed 183 and wounded more than 800.
The group however has denied responsibility for the Mumbai blasts.
New Delhi also blames the LeT for a deadly attack on its national parliament complex in December 2001 that brought India and Pakistan to the brink of their fourth war.
New Delhi blames Pakistan for arming and training Islamist rebels fighting Indian rule in the Himalayan region, which has triggered two of the three wars between the nuclear-armed rivals.
The LeT is banned by both India and Pakistan.
After failed attempts to blame Pakistan for the Mumbai blasts, Indian authorities have decided to hype up the blaming game by including “plan on attacking nuclear facilities”. You can cry “wolf” only so many times :CareBear:
9/11 Global covergae for years and wars fought over it
7/7 Global coverge for months laws made over it
11/7 Semi-global coverage for a day and then forgotten.
What gives, false flags don't work for the darkies?
^ It’s natural that India will (although incorrectly sometimes) point the finger towards Pakistan and it’s not called crying wolf when there’s a history of Pakistani support to terrorists.
Yes and that is what I am saying. Because there is a history (which I wont be able to prove and you wont be able to disprove) that's why it's a natural inclination of the people and the government (it also helps the government in blaming in on external factors thus distracting the people from it's own shortcomings) to blame Pakistan for it.
Even when Hindu zealots egged on by the elected Indian Gujarat government, were burning and butchering Muslims these Indian losers were blaming Pakistan. As if Pakistan put a Nazi like Modi into power - it was the Indian Gujarati people!
I tried to give you an honest and candid answer, anyways I think the kind of reply which Seminole has given suits you more.
I understand its very shameful to admit someone's shortcomings and hence point fingers at others, India has tried to pin all accidents on Pakistan but failed to. There is a reason why international community didn't stump Pakistan after Mumbai's last bombing, care to explain why? Answer of "Pakistan is non-Nato ally" will not work.
BTW, Seminole is just trying to level scores from recent past, I wouldn't pay attention to him :)
Actually Captain, I was indicating that it is not too far fetched since there's a history of Pakistani support to terrorists. I'm not aware of any scores I need to settle.

Because in my opinion, Pakistan was not responsible for the Mumbai blasts from whatever evidences that have been found so far. I'll give Pakistan the beenfit of doubt.
I was giving the reasons why India points fingers towards Pakistan and the reasoning behind that mentality which is not always wrong because Pakistan has a long history of instigating trouble in India.
