Apperently the US has cleared sale of some fancy Israeli **** to India. Its on the PakistaniDefence.com website, I dont know the details.
We’re fast becomming unable to deter Indian aggression though. 
actually this may not be good news for anyone other than the US. They'll quote this to sell other munitions to Pakistan.
As long fools like us keep fighting and buying arms from the masters, we will get our 1 minute per day white house briefing.
And to think we fought so hard to get independence.
The US sells Pakistan only arms which India can counter-India is soon going to impoose its will on ALL of South Asia, as envisioned by the US to allow it to counter China.
I am for South Asian peace, a FTA between pak-India and so on, but the guys in power on both sides are grade A jerks.
Nothing to worry about. India can continue to spend billions on the weapons.
What good will these Awacs do if the Indians do not have the guts to start a war? They can continue with their spying mission till the proverbial cows come home. Pakistan will not initiate a war, but has enough deterence to keep the Muslim burning Indians away. India knows this. The Muslim burning Indians shot themselves in the foot, the day they went nuclear :)
Just relax, and enjoy the Muslim burning Indians spend their money and try to stop over a hundered freedom movements that are currently taking place in good ol' secular India :)

I hear what you are saying. Pakistan is spending just enough for a credible deterrence against the Muslim burning Indians. It does not need to spend billions.
Like I said, you need guts to go to war, which the Muslim burning Indians don’t have. They are all talk. They have proved this. If they could not attack Pakistan in the last few years, they will never be able to that in the future. They have missed their opportunity. The day Pakistan replied in kind to the Muslim burning Indians nuclear test, the Muslim burning Indians realized they had shot themselves in the foot :)
I am happy to see the Muslim burning Indians spend billions on defense while they have 500 million starving or below the poverty line. Pakistan is just doing enough to keep the Muslim burning Indians looking over their shoulders :)
dude, its not like pak is any better off than india economically or socially. when you talk of defence spendings, india spends a far smaller fraction of its GDP than pak does just by virtue of its size. who's the one who's bleeding faster?

Anyway, as far as America's support to India and Pakistan is concerned, it has nothing to do with peace or war, and everything to do with weapons sales. Right now the only industry doing good in the US is the defence industry, and they are exploiting the 9/11 episode for all its worth.

True, you are certainly a product of Pakistani upbringing.
It's not that Pakistan does not have a choice, it's only a matter of time and allocating resources. Forthmost prioriity of PAF rightnow is to bring in one or two squadrons of fourth or fifth generation of fighter planes. Couple of years back, Pakistan was very close to signing a deal with the Brazilian's Embraer for procurement of AEWACS jets. However, these jets use Ericcson radar which has many US components, so the deal couldn't get through due to sanctions in place at that time.
Now that the sanctions have been lifted, and there's a meeting coming up, I think next month which will lay strategies for defence cooperation, it may be a matter of another two or three years, before Pakistan will acquire similar systems for its air defence.
