This is hillarious and idiotic at its best…
another article about the stratgic shift
It looks very much like an encirclement of Pakistan by India. The pressure on Pakistan’s defences would be almost overwhelming. We expect Pakistan to respond. Much will depend on the reaction of the Bush administration.

Stratfor has a commentary on India-Iran relations
http://www.washtimes.com/world/20030201-2051560.htm
India, Iran and Afghanistan signed two memoranda of understanding early this month, including a deal to establish a trade and transport link between India and Afghanistan via Iran. The Iranian president is said to have told Musharraf in categorical terms that in the event of an Indian-Pakistan war, Iran would support Pakistan. According to Iranian diplomatic sources, the upcoming high-level meetings in either Tehran or Islamabad would convey a loud and clear message to both the US and India that Iran-Pakistan relations were back on a sound footing …

Someone needs to remind rvikz who Iran supported in the previous two wars… Remember how Shah of Iran asked us to divert all our air traffic to his country?
The bottom line is that Iran always has and will support Pakistan.
