I am shocked, traumatized, and deeply disappointed by the amount of hatred exhibited by indian media , politicians and general population towards Pakistan, and pakistanis after uri incidence.
i knew some hatred will be there after the incidence but never anticipated such amount of hatred. they are talking about annihilating Pakistanis using nuclear weapon every other second. and everyone is spewing this hatred from top to bottom… retired army chiefs, senior media guys, govt ministers, all are exhibiting so much hatred that i cannot believe. some openly declared us mad animals which need to be destroyed
honestly speaking, we have similar level of hatred towards indians as well. in a latest survey yesterday, 85% of Pakistanis expressed their desire to die as “shaheed” in a nuclear war against india. kar lo baat
for almost 15 years on this forum, i tried to stay positive and always made efforts for a friendly pak-india dynamics to the extent i was called hindu-pakistani by some fellow Pakistani posters. Alas, my efforts and expectations are failed. I am sad and I admit that i am giving up.
Will remain objective in my analysis as i hate mindless emotional rhetoric to address bi-lateral issues but i must say these 2 countries hate each other to the core at every level. yes some positive sentiments emerge here and there but deep down there, hatred has planted its seeds and there is no hope whatsoever. both of these countries are extremely immature and want to live in an animalistic fashion, so be it.
@PD – I understand your perspective, but would not agree to it. You would have to take a step back to analyse the reaction to the latest terrorist incident.
When 26/11 happened there was a muted reaction to the whole incident inspite of the fact that the captured terrorist was from Pakistan. Modi as the opposition leader to reinforce his nationalistic stature went the whole hog in criticizing the then PM for not taking any action against Pakistan.
Fast forward to the present, many of the leaders who demanded strong action from the government for the terrorist action previously are occupying prime posts in the government. They know the risks of escalating the violence. That said they would have to spew enough venom against Pakistan to keep its electorate happy. It is all just a matter of perception.
That said, I think it is time Pakistan reigned its non-state actors and ensure peace along the border. I am not sure if that is even possible. I understand Pakistan is trying to a large extent, but needs to try more.
Ground realities are vastly different. Media has to play their role, and politicians have to cater to their audience. In order to do that, many a times, you will see them saying things that are utterly ridiculous and unsustainable.
If a regular Indian visits Pakistan, Pakistanis lay out the red carpet for them, give them freebies, discounts, and are in general, very hospitable. But if asked about Kashmir or other flash points, the same Pakistanis are included in the 85% that you talked about.
Same goes about religion as well. Generally Pakistanis are laid back when it comes to religion, but if they even smell a whiff of disrespect from someone(even unintentional) they will (be forced to) take a strong stance.
^ I agree with above. IF there is a real hatred maong the countries , It wud be like israel and palstine…
When indian and pakistani ppl meet in some other country , they become good friend very fast. If there wud have been real hatred , the same will not happened.
Yoy need to realize, India have every right to be angry and hate Pakistan…poor ones dont even have any force as they dont have any enemy in the region nor have did any thing bad to anyone…
Indian Media…goes all vivid when ISI steal Dhakans of the Gutters and street lights… all the poverty and hunger and malnutrition…it is because of Pakistan…recently Indians killed 108 Kashmiries and wounded 1000s…blinding them for ever…but that is ok…a attack for which no proof can be produced to date…yeab they all the right to hate Pakistan
your army, your parliament or your people. Wonder if your respected family listens to you ???

Whoever he may be, as an Indian he sure jave enjoyed blinding 1000s of Kashmiries, killing 114 and an on going curfew for 75 days…great achievements for Indians…
whatever the case has been, future looks grim for these two countries from bi-lateral relationship standpoint. slowly but gradually, hatred is creeping among masses as well. My indian friends over here are ignoring me lol. I think their pride and massive ego gets hurt every-time such incidence happens as such incidences are equivalent to “Ghar may ghus kar mara” and they have enough of it
To me, Mumbai massacre conducted by Pakistani citizens (i never heard pakistani govt categorically denying that ajmal qasab was NOT our citizen. Pakistani govt just kept quiet) just finished all the prospects. To be honest, I do appreciate indians showing massive restraint at that occasion. That was plain massacre. Imagine Indian citizens killing 200 people in lahore.
agencies on both sides are playing dirty games and as a result, masses are getting more and more frustrated… Plus India is showing unbelievable arrogance and idiocy on Kashmir issue..not to mention plain brutality. Kashmir is a nuclear flash-point
this is the first time ever, i genuinely felt that India will attack Pakistan or will conduct surgical air strikes and of course pak will react…and then!!!
I can say from my experience that the Indians I know have not spoken with me about this incident. We never engage in Pakistan bashing. At least during conversations in my presence this is not an issue.
Same can be said over the last several years.
When I used to engage with my relatives through FB, some of the, and some of their ffriends would engage in such bashing.
That indicates to me it is the Media back home that influences those that can’t think for themselves.
Those se who can think for themselves realize that all people on ones side of the border can’t be good and vice Versa.
Let me clarify one thing. Politicians, media, and celebrities on both side - do not represent common folks (at least not common majority). Don’t take their words as a true feelings of general public
phoenixdesi Sahib here is one of root causes burning in almost every **Hindustani **Hindu’s vedic soul:
**Every year 15[SUP]th[/SUP] August and 26[SUP]th[/SUP] January are celebrated as national festivals and Tricolor Flag hoisted everywhere. On 15[SUP]th[/SUP] August 1947, India was divided accompanied by large scale slaughter of Hindus in Pakistan. Still Hindus did not get freedom. Of course, Muslims not only got separate homeland, but also full freedom in truncated India, due to treachery by Gandhi. What is there to rejoice? We are without any homeland. This is the day to ponder as to how to get rid of this suffocating situation.
**
Again, on 26[SUP]th[/SUP] January 1950 our India, which was meant to be a homeland for the Hindus, was constitutionally converted into an inn or Dharmshala. If somebody snatches our personal property or home and converts it into a public property, we will sue him in the court or break his head. How shameful it is that we rejoice on that day.
And lastly, saffron color stand for Indian and Hindu culture and tradition. But Tricolor flag contains only one third of it. The rest two third contains green for Muslims and white for Christians etc. If some body destroys two third of our temple and erects a mosque and a Church, how could we be happy? This tricolor is an insult to Hindus.
**And in addition to all this can be added the fact that Hindu Leaders of the past who planned and carried out the Assassination of Mohandas Gandhi have all instructed their followers to save their ashes:
**
“Godse declared in his last will and testament, that the only possession he had to leave for his family was his ashes. He asked that those ashes should not be immersed in a river, but be handed down instead, from generation to generation, until they could be sprinkled into Indus river flowing through reunited India under Hindu rule. “Certainly, Godse would be counted among martyrs if and when India comes under Hindu rule.
And there is nothing any Pakistani Leader or citizen can do to quench that fire!
