Boy this match truning even more interesting, Steve Waugh have declared at the lead of 198 and 23 overs remaining. So that makes it 8.65 per over hmmm.
The only team in the world who can make Waugh’s declaration jusitfyable are his own bowlers but he is forgetting that his 2 best bowlers are not playing today.
Indians should do the smart thing and go for a draw.
well the left are only 18 and the runs required are 180.. so that would require immense hitting, which aint possible after two wicket loss..

Aus had India reduced 6/2 and looked like a fair chance of winning and Waugh's declaration was the exact reason having a psychological advantage going into the Adelaide test.
It is the exact opposite.
Aus should still win the next 3 test Baqra Eid Style.
With Lee might be coming back, they will only get better. :)

BTW - Taking a lead in a rain interrupted match doesn't mean anything.
As soon as Day 2 was delayed by rain, many had predicted a draw, so who leading who didn't matter.

Playing against a weakend Aussie bowling attack....and scoring a mere 300+, and then getting all happy.

Well, as Ganguly said before the series, they will find out what they're made of after the series.
The second test will be the 'real' test. I certainly hope easy stumping chances are not missed, like the one Patel missed of Waugh.
