Re: India in Australia 2011-12
I think Dhoni should take the major blame for the way India have performed in England and Australia. He is just a very defensive test captain. Does n't attack enough with innovative field placings and just waits for the opposition to make mistakes. The bowlers haven't actually bowled that badly in this series (apart from that 600+) and on paper atleast, it is still a formidable batting line-up and these same guys have done well in Aus against must better Aussie attacks in the recent past. He has just not been very inspirational as a leader in tests. He should have been able to compete with Aus in Aus with the players at his disposal IMO. The team is not as bad as it is performing esp. in batting
Dhoni has failed to lead by example either having failed miserably with the bat in the ongoing series

Re: India in Australia 2011-12
4th Test, Adelaide (Jan 24-28)
India has done well in the morning session
Australia 98/3 at lunch, Ponting 43*
Two wickets for Ashwin and 1 for Zaheer
Re: India in Australia 2011-12
Things not looking too good for India who have once again let Australia off the hook
84/3 >> 285/3
Ponting scoring his 41st test hundred and surpassing 13,000 test runs in the process
Clarke also helping himself to another test hundred (his 19th overall)
Re: India in Australia 2011-12
*Ankan: "I would like to say thank you to BCCI and IPL. Because of you, our players have lost the skill to bat longer than 10 overs, bowl more than 4 overs, and field more than 20. Result? Our agony is over in 2-3 days. Thank You!!!" The IPL has its demerits but to blame it entirely for India's results is inaccurate. *
one of the indian fan comments . . .
Re: India in Australia 2011-12
292/3
Ponting and Clarke going at 4.5 RPO
At the current rate Aus w'd be 350+ by the close of play
Re: India in Australia 2011-12
Is Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Sami of India?
He is tall, bowls with good pace + has a good action. But for some reason he has been struggling to take wickets in this series - 4 wickets so far at ave 92.50 and SR 156.7 says it all!!
Has he been just unlucky?
Re: India in Australia 2011-12
Australia 335/3 (90.0 ov)
Stumps - Day 1
