I dont think that this gesture of Kohli required any kind of penalty BUT current code of conduct states that he should be punished.

BTW, Personally I am for scrapping all such foolish ICC code of conduct. Unless its something really serious such as Ponting doing animated argument with Aleem Dar and almost refusing to accept 3rd Umpire’s decision having said that, I am sure you will agree that at times BCCI was able to twist arm of ICC due to its financial strength.

This is a forum where we exchange ideas - di dnot realize there is a cut-off for matters to be closed. Anyway, I belive this is no big deal. As mentioned earlier, Younis Khan beating up a fan or Inziman-Ul-Haq going to the stands after a fan (when they were much older) merits more derision. Now, I wont drag this matter any further.

Yesterday, Ptttinson was gesturing wildly atthe umpire when he did not get a lbw decision in his favor (there was an edge). Clearly this too was a discipline case. The ump just went to Clarke to possibly ask him to have control on his player. Wont hold my breath to see if Clarke also gets fined xx%.
