Why are you against us selling Weapons to Sri Lanka?.
Because you have no idea of the cost in which u sell it. Would u sell military equipment to Iran or could u do that to Somalia or Sudan. Its the same.

Sri Lanka needs to end this war which has torn its nation apart for 25 years and thus needs offensive weaponry.
SriLanka cannot end its war unless equal rights are given to tamils. SriLanka can try all it wants but LTTE will only become stronger. Rather than initiating peace moves with moderate tamils, Sinhalese will antagonize the whole tamil community if weapons of mass destruction ((offensive weapons) are used.

If India cant give Sri Lanka offensive weaponry to deal with the LTTE then obviously its going to look for these weapons from other countries such as Pakistan and China.
So its alright to sell weapons to other countries which are involved in mass killings of its civilians by the army. Mind you, I am not legitimizing the LTTE, they are equally responsible for the situation. LTTE had God sent opportunity in the beginning of 2000 to set everything right. They floundered it. But tamils do have a legitimate grievance and it should be addressed at any cost.

Then how exactly can Sri Lanka rely on India for help against these LTTE terrorists?
Isn't it common sense that Sri Lanka will look to other countries for Weapons, whether it maybe Pakistan or China.
It is also human nature that other countries refuse these offer as this would be used against its own country people to kill.

This is exactly the kind of thinking which has led to most if not all of India's neighbors to have better relations with China than India.
Let them have son. Chinese interest is purely economical, while Pakistan is military. Besides china has it own hostile neighbors around it. Why do u think Japan is spending so much in military. Koreans, taiwanese , Burmese (except burmese junta of course) have no love for China.
