PD, ur white manager don't want india (and pakistan also) to grow fast. all that he wants is we (indians and pakis) just keep quareling and he will enjoy superiority. don't believe americans,man. they are such a *******s.
The white manager or the white president may want anything, but if the people are determined and hardworking success will come.
I would say this though - In India (don't know if its true for Pakistan as well???) we are slowly giving more importance to money than what it should be given. The human element is slowly taking the back seat.

Wrong.
The Narasimha Rao govt under which Manmohan Singh was finance minister, P Chidambaram as minister of state, and Montek Singh Ahluwalia of the planning commission are responsible for the liberalization movement. NDA govt did a good job of not screwing up with unnecessary policy changes, and rode their years in power with not an awful lot in that front. (NDA had uma bharti as sports minister - they werent even serious people as ministers haha).
I was about to bring Narsimha Rao here too. Credit should go to him first and then NDA, to keep the reforms go on. I would give some credit to them for developing the infrastructure. But they could have done better, if they were in power for another term.
Manmohan Singh is a good man, but his govt. could not do much because of political reasons. Its not in the best interest of the left parties, for India to grow so fast - they do not want to loose their vote bank.

Being a Punjabi, I can tell you that we never asked Mr. Manmohan Singh's kins to leave, our elders must have offered the Singhs to convert to Islam and stay in Chakwal or Sahiwal- wherever they want to live in Pakistan. There were hundreds of thousands or maybe lakhs of Hindu Khatris (Kapoor, Malhotra, chopras etc.) who chose to convert and stay in Pakistan respectfully in Pakistan instead of leaving like a coward to Delhi and E.Punjab. Its not Lyallpur queer saab, its Faisalabad- one of the most advanced cities of Pakistan with solid infrastucture that you won't find anywhere else. So, Manmohan and Gurcharan leaving Pakistan wasn't Pakistan's loss- it was theirs for sticking to a religion that doesn't help them :)
Isn't that the same as a gori "converting to islam" to marry a desi?
