**An Indian junior minister has resigned over a row involving the country’s premier cricket league.**Junior foreign minister Shashi Tharoor was asked to quit by Prime Minister Manhohan Singh, press reports say.
It has been alleged that a female friend of Mr Tharoor was granted a free stake in a new cricket team from his home state.
Mr Tharoor - who was a prominent diplomat at the United Nations for many years - denies any wrongdoing.
