One a sider note, Suryadev has Himself visited this earth to bestow his kindness and affection upon Kuntidevi. Far from anyone being burnt, a progeny was the outcome. And that may be the real danger of a (wo)manned mission to the Sun.

I am chilling but i just want to correct you on your impression that “lots” of people die from hunger.

On the side note, New govt has been implementing a project of opening a bank account for every Indian so it can give benefits directly to them and bypassing all those corrupt babus. Also all those account holders will be insured with 1 lakh rupees. But that doesnt make exciting news though.

India produces more than it can consume, the faulty distribution system makes sure that millions of tons of food going waste every year. Govts (Current and Last) have implemented another plan to fix that problem ( Outsourcing the storage with strict guidelines with godowns strategically scattred across the country), so i can vouch that solutions are being implemented as slow as they are.

May be you live in some other planet or world that you dont see ‘lots’ of people dying from hunger.

I dont, can you enlighten me where are they dying. Last case in our region happened in sindh were people literally died of hunger in huge numbers. Well , if you are referring to them then i think its not ISRO’s responsibility.

Aap bhi Imran khan ki tarah chawwalain marne lage.

I dont have statistics or exact detailed info but i do know people do die from hunger in india and in pakistan too. And i just was not referring to hunger only it includes poverty too. Your choice if you find this a ‘chawwal’.

For those who missed it, this photograph capturing the jubilation in India’s Mars mission control room as their Mangalyaan satellite successfully entered orbit around Mars has been making the rounds on social media and was picked up by some media outlets as well. And for good reason too because it’s quite a powerful image. It encapsulates some of the wonders of science and technology, emblems of female empowerment, as well as the beautiful colors of India and Indian culture. It may well become in future one of the iconic Indian images of this era for chroniclers of Indian history.

Here is what Emily from Planetarysociety thinks about MOM. She has been excited about this since before it was launched.

If the Mars Orbiter Mission does nothing else but return to us a variety of global images of Mars from different positions and phases, the mission will be a great success, as far as I’m concerned. It’ll be a data set unlike any generated by any other mission, and the single-frame photos should find their way into lots of books and magazines, informing the public perception of Mars for years to come.
